OUr Spring Event Finals were very fun. It was handicap scoring based on the league scores. Congratulations to CLint Etie who shot a fantastic round and even picked up hole 16's CTP for a $25 Dollar Gift Card to Olive Garden. Clint won a Lightning Large Bag, Koozie, and a Champion Viking disc which will be perfect for his developing shot. Mike Melancon came in 2nd and won a KC Aviar, Pro D Crush and a FLX Surge. Tyson Richard got 3rd and donated his winnings back to the club. Bobby LeJeune won 4th and also donated his winnings back into the club. Congratulations to David Fifita on winning the $49 Ace Pot during the throw-off. David Also donated a portion of his Ace Pot winnings back into the club. Thank you Fif. You all did a great job of spreading the word and recruiting folks to play. I think we have done a great job in attracting new players and helping new players improve their game. Great job this weekend at the Cajun Classic Tournament at Flanacher Park in Zachary. We did an awesome job this weekend and ranked 4 Flight Club members in the Amateur Division despite all the sandbaggers out there. Matt Maddox took 4th, David Fifita took 5th, Tyson Richard took 6th and Kevin "Gilligan" Richard took 7th. Great job this weekend guys, it was a ton of fun and I can't wait till Bob's FUNraiser in 2 weeks. We will have shirts to sport this time and hopefully we can recruite new members during the event. Once again, great job you guys, that was a great tournament!!

Today was our best turnout ever! 13 people showed up to play today. Thank you Jeff Sanchez and Josh Desper for coming play with us from Bridge City Texas. First time Warriors Matt Maddox, Kevin "Gilligan Richard, Evans Cormier and Trevor Thomas showed up today. Todays format was weighted card Match Play Skins. We had 4 cards in play.
On card A, We had Kevin "Gilligan" Richard come in first with a stroke score of 59 and 9 skins winning himself a FLX Drone. Following him was Matt Maddox (60 - 7), his personal PA Davis best, Tyson Richard (58 - 1), his personal PA Davis best and he also took home a $25 gist card to Agave' Restaurant for a CTP on hole 17. David Fifita (61 - 1).
Card B was won by Clint Etie with 77 strakes but 10 skins. Clint won a Pro D Magnet putter. This was Clint's first win, congrats Clint! He was followed by Evans Cormier (71 - 5) and Edgar Cormier (67 - 3).
Card C was taken by Bobby LeJeune with 62 strokes and 14 skins after a 13 hole skins tie! He won a Prototype Valk today. He was followed by Jeff Sanchez (64 - 4) and Josh Desper (69 - 0).
Card D was won by first timer Trevor Thomas with 72 strokes and 12 skins to take home a Soft Challenger. Behind Trevor was Cody Thomas (72 - 4) and Jason Cabrol (71 - 2)
Special Thanks today goes out to Ski for filming our game and Bwana Bob for donating a Prototype Valk! Very special thanks to Josh LeMaire of JL Electric for donating some money to us for our shirts. Thanks Josh! We appreciate you guys. Today was a great turnout and I hope we keep growing. I have 15 shirts being printed right now that should be on their way soon. Financialy we are doing fine, we aren't losing any many and are affording the prizes we are giving based on entry fees just as planned. I see a few players who are just starting out that are progressing very well as we go. We have 2 weeks left of regular events in this season before the Finals game. I'm trying to save soem money in the club to help buy some really good prizes for that day. Also don't forget about our weekday Challenge on tuesday at 5:00 in Girard Park. Basket to Basket Safari to help raise money for the Thibodeaux Family. Thanks to everyone, spread the word and have a great week.

Awesome day today guys. I think the rain scared off a few potential players. Thanks to all you hard core players that did show up and stuck it out through the rain. I hope to see those flyers and word of mouth start to get more players to join us.

We sold out of our first run of club t-shirts and will be ordering more next week. I will try to get a sponsor for the second run of shirts so we can start collecting club money for prizes and club equipment and supplies.

Thanks to Jason and Tyson for supplying drinks today. Thank you Tommy and Zach for joining us for the first time today.

Todays format was Match play Skins. The players were split into 2 cards. Congratulations to Tyson on Card A with 9 points after a 3 hole playoff with Bobby and David. He walked away with an ESP Zone. Zach took Card B for 8 points and a Z Buzzz. Once again great CTP on hole 13 Edgar, we are moving it next week buddy! We will have to consider moving Zach to Pool A due to scoring.

Congratulations to David and Fuco and their win today. Great CTP on hole 13 Edgar!
David walked away with an ESP Nuke and Fuco picked up a Elite X Comet. Edgars CTP earnd him 8 bucks.
Today was big fun and I am looking forward to next week when I hope to see alot more of our core group players. Also, our flyer just hit the UL campus so hopefully we will get a good response from that.

Great day today folks, i had alot of fun. Thanks for coming out to join us Cody!!! Hope to see you and your brother next week. Try to get some friends out there as well. Today's format was Combined Score Doubles with weighted teams. Tyson and Edgar came in first with Edgar prizing out... a Pro-D Soft Magnet and Tyson picking up a FLX Buzzz. Today's CTP was on Hole # 16 and was a very close call between Zach and Cody who parked their drives within 10 feet of pin. Zach ended up with the CTP win for a $25 gift card to Agave' Restaurant downtown. Congrats all and thatnks for playing!!

Today was our final regular league day. We had 2 new members join today, thank you to Mike Melancon and Ethan David. Welcome to Flight Club. Todat our format was Skins MAtch Play and we had 8 people to split into 2 cards. We also had a CTP on hole #16.
Card A: Tyson Won 1st with 10 Skins after a 13 hole playoff for 10 skins and donated his disc back to the club. He ended the round with 69 strokes. Second was David Fifita (59 - 5) Third Matt Maddox (65 - 3) and Jason Cabrol (68 - 0). Congrats to Matt Maddox again on his CTP on hole 16 for yet another $25 Agave' gift card.
Card B: New member Mike Melancon won his card with 72 strokes and 8 Skins and walked away with a Pro-D Startus. Congrats to Mike and Thanks for joining us. Second place was new member Ethan David (75 - 5) Third was Clint Etie (73 - 2) followed by Fuco Adams (76 - 1).
Thanks to everyone for showing up today. It was a great match and great match-ups. We will be having our finals mini tourny on June 26th. THere is a tourny near Baton Rouge next weekend and we encourage everyone to attend if possible. Keep and eye on the website calendar to keep up with our events as well as others in the area. Also, we will soon have a survey on the website asking questions about variouse aspects of our first league in order to make our 2nd season even better than the first. I also plan to post an active accounting of the club bank account on the website as well as some sort of scoring history for players including player current handicaps. Also very special thanks goes to Bwana Bob for donating a Glo Roc with his upcoming tourny stamp. Thank you very much Bob and we wish you would join us on the field sometime.
