Thursdays we will be playing Pro-Am doubles now that Thursday GRU Berth Run singles is over. We will be starting at McCourtie Park at 5:30pm on Thursday August 9th. We will be rotating between McCourtie, JCC and Ella Sharp Park on Thursdays. We are still ironing out the details, It may be as much as $10 all in. The GRU ace pool will be in effect and is currently at $431. We hope to see everyone out there, tell your friends!

I noticed today that I neglected to give Joel Coppernoll a hearty congratulations on winning the Berth Run. Joel destroyed the competition this year and gave us all a reason to play better. He is headed to states to take on the pro division. Good luck at states and congratulations on taking down the Berth Run!

We had perfect weather for 18 holes of singles out at McCourtie Park with 10 players for the finale of the GRU Berth Run.

Joey Rumsey and Joel Coppernoll tied at -5. Joey won the throw off and took $20. Joel took $13. Jared Stoll shot -4 and took third place for $7.

Joel got the $16 cash CTP.

Jared got the Merch CTP, a very cool GRU logo out of wood.

For the League overall payouts each spot got some goodies plus $2.50 per week played:

1) Joel Coppernoll: Trophy, Michigan State Championships Berth, berth disc, mini, hat, sunglasses, Discraft Nuke, sportsac and sticker, as well as $35 in plastic.
2) Tpills: Trophy, Michigan State Championships Berth, berth disc, mini, hat, sunglasses, Discraft Undertaker, sticker, as well as $45 in plastic.
3) Casey Cook: Hat, Towel, as well as 42.50 in plastic.
4) Joey: Hat or towel, as well as 32.50 in plastic.
5) Otis: Sport Sac, as well as $45 in plastic.

We had swirly wind for 18 holes of singles with 14 players out at McCourtie Park. Jared Stoll and Tpills tied at the top with -6. Bomb City Stoll took the throw off and first place money for $20. Tpills took second place and $13. JGrow took third place with a -5 for $10. Joey got fourth with his -4 and took $8. Joel Copperoll tied Otis at -3 and Joel won the throw off for $5 last cash.

Champ got through the trees and won the $18 CTP on hole 9.

Ace Pool is up to $572. Next week is the final week for the Grand River Union Berth Run. We will be at McCourtie Park at 5:30pm on Thursday August 2nd for the finale.

We had great weather with some wind for 18 holes of singles at Jackson College with 13 players. Joel Coppernoll shot the hot round of -8 to take the win and $21. Tyler Schoening and Big Country tied for second at -6. Tyler won the throw off and took home $16. Big Country took $9 of third place money. James took $6 last cash with his -2.

Tyler also took the $13 CTP on hole 5.

Ace Pool is up to $478. We have two more weeks of Thursday singles at McCourtie Park to end the GRU Berth Run season.

Tyler Schoening was show'in us how it's done with a league record round of -11 for first place taking $20. Casey cooked up a decent round with a -6 for second taking $13. BawBeast got third with his -5 taking $10. Joel Coppernoll got fourth with a -4 taking $8. And Tpills got $5 last cash for his -2.

We had beautiful weather for 18 holes of singles with 15 players at McCourtie park this Thursday. We had some new faces this week with some touring pros coming by to scoop our cash. Kevin Jones and Austin Hannum tied at the top with -7 and split $35. Not bad for shooting blind. Aaron Gabrielse took third with his -5 taking $11. Joel Coppernoll and Nicholas Masters tied at -4 and threw off for the last two cashes. Joel won the throw off and took $9, Nicholas took $5.

Bill Cottrell showed the pros how to park hole #2 with a thumber and took the $15 CTP.

It should be noted that after round doubles produced two record -15 rounds. One by Stoll and Kevin, one by Austin and Nicholas.

Good luck to everyone at the Discraft Great Lakes Open.

BawBeast shot a -6 and took second and $13. Casey Cook and the Champ tied at -2. Casey won the throw off for third place cash of $10. Champ took $8. Freeland took last cash $5 for his -1.

Bryce tried to ace hole #3 again and even though he missed, it was good enough for the $16 CTP.

The Beast shot a super hot round of -10 and took the win and $20 for his efforts. Tyler shot a killer round of -9 to take $15 and second place. Casey Cook got $9 last cash with his -7.

BawBeast also snagged the $11 CTP on hole 11.

BawBeast got $5 last cash with his -5.

The $14 CTP on hole 17 was taken by Tpills by a disc length.

Joel took it down for $8 and Otis took $5.

We had 15 brave souls show up for 18 holes at McCourtie. After the floodgates opened up and rinsed off the course, the clouds parted by 5:30 and gave us some decent weather. Thanks to Champ for mowing fairways for us and keeping some of the ticks off of us. Joel Coppernoll once again showed us how it is done, shooting -5 for the win and $21. Champ and Casey Cook tied at -4. Champ won the throw off taking $14 of second place money. Casey won $11. Joey Rumsey shot -3 and took $9 for fourth place out right. Otis won the five way shootout for $5 last cash.

Joel also won the $15 CTP because that's how Joel rolls.

Casey Cook took second and $14 shooting -3. Elijah and Joey each had a share of third and each took $10 home. Bryce and Joel had staring contest to determine last cash and Bryce won the $5.

Joel was on fire with a -10 (44), shooting what is believed to be the course record in competition and easily took the win and $20. Casey shot a -6 (48) for second and $15. Tpills and J-Grow shot -5 (49). Tpills won the throw off taking $8, J-Grow taking $5 last cash.

Tpills won the CTP on hole 14 winning $12.
