On a picture perfect morning, we had 31 people come out for the Labor Day Special handicap round. Utilizing some favorable handicaps Thor came out as the big winner shooting an adjusted 50, taking home $30. Nate Langer snagged 2nd with an adjusted 54 worth $22, and Adam Couture grabbed 3rd place with an adjusted 55. Congratulations to all of the other winners as well. Thanks for everyone who showed up for making it an awesome morning!

Sorry that I have been slacking, but I just wanted to catch up in congratulating all of the winners of the past couple of weeks.

Week 18: Matt Rosier took down the open field with a 56 while Josh Wood got the win in advanced with a 69, but was bested by the intermediate winner, Derek Stoltenberg who shot a nice 65. For the 2nd week in a row, Dustin Schrock won the CTP, this time on hole 8 for $11.

Week 19: Moving up to the red tees, Zach Schweitzer shot one off of the league record with a 53 on his way to the win in open. Don Glaser was one stroke behind him taking down the win in advanced with Tim Sladisky grabbing the win in intermediate shooting a 60. Nate Langer won the CTP on his 2nd shot on hole 18 for $9.

Week 20: The final official week of league for the year saw a tie on top of the open division between Matt Rosier and BJ Reiher carding 53s. Anthony Prior shot a smoking hot round of 57 to win the intermediate division with Josh Wood shooting a 59 to take down the advanced division. Eric Nichols won the CTP on his 2nd shot on hole 1 for an another $20. Additionally, Matt Rosier took down the birdie+ pot for $74, birdieing holes 2, 4, 5, 8, 11, 13, 15, and 18 and taking an eagle 2 on hole 6!

At the end of the year, the birdie pot now stands at $49 while the ace pot is at $160.

Come on out this Monday for a special final week of the Deer Lakes League! The PDGA portion of the league ended last week, so this week will be a special handicap league based on the scores throughout the year.

Your handicap will be based off of your average rating at league throughout the year. If you have not participated in the Deer Lakes League this year, you can still come out! Your handicap will be based off of your current PDGA rating if you are a member, or you will get a straight 10 stroke handicap if you are not a PDGA member.

Signups will be from 9:30 to 10:00AM with tee off at 10. We will be playing from the white tees. Entry fee will be $5 per person with 100% payout to 50% of the field. There will be no additional ace, birdie, or CTP pots.

Sid Olcott and Zach Schweitzer tied for the win in Open with 59s while Tom Moeller made his first appearance of the year and took down Advanced with a 61. The ace pot still has around $110 for anyone to hit in the coming weeks!

For the second time in three weeks, the birdie pot has been hit! Matt Rosier birdied holes 1, 2, 6, 11, 12, and 16 to take home $85 in the birdie pot. In addition to the birdie pot, I also grabbed the win in Open with a new league record of 52 with Stella and Anthony Prior tying for the win in Intermediate with 65s. Zach managed to birdie holes 5, 7, 11, 12, 16, and 17 to be the first pro to ever take home the birdie pot and walk away with a cool $180! In addition to his birdie pot stash, Zach also crushed the open field shooting a smoking hot 54! Dave Hughes grabbed the win in advanced with a 60 and Robbie Perl took home the win in intermediate with a 69.

No aces on the evening, so the ace pot sits at $213 and the birdie pot now sits at $119. Who will get it next?

On a special Memorial Day league event, we had a league record of 25 people come out to enjoy some disc golf, hot dogs, and some time with awesome people. Winning the Open division and shooting a new league record from the blues was myself with a 63. Taking down Advanced with a 66 was Josh Wood, and winning Intermediate with a 73 was Stella. I also grabbed the CTP on the 2nd shot of hole 18, edging out Chris Lachendro.

Week 9 saw 13 people come out to enjoy the round before the Predators put the beatdown on the Pens. For the 2nd week in a row, I took down the win in Open with a 59 from the white tees as well as grabbing the CTP on hole 4. Chris Hoeg snagged the win in Advanced with a 61, and Anthony Prior grabbed the win in Intermediate with a 71.

Week 10 had the most attendees of any regular week with a smokin' 24 people showing up on a boiling hot night to play from the white tees. Cody Winget and Zach Schweitzer, hot off of his 2nd place finish at the Am PFDO, tied for the win in Open shooting 57s. Stella grabbed another win in the Intermediate division with a 68, and for the first time in the league, we had a women's division with Dawn Bollinger besting Jessica Schrock. J. Gary Dropcho walked away with the CTP this week on hole 7.

The birdie pot has been creeping up there since it hasn't been hit this year and is currently sitting at $264. The ace pot now sits at $176.

Come join us Memorial Day for a special Deer Lakes Monday League! Checkin will be from 10:30am to 11:00am with tee off promptly at 11.

Everyone welcome! You do not need to be a PFDS or PDGA member. We will have at least 3 divisions (Open, Advanced, and Intermediate) but will add additional if there is a large enough demand. Just show up. No need to pre-register.

Following the round, join us for Red, White, and Blue seeded $5 doubles. The highest score will be paired with the lowest score and so on. Holes 1-6 from the white tees, 7-12 from the blue tees, and 13-18 from the red tees.

I defended the #1 tag, Josh moved up to the #3 tag, Zach dropped to the #31 tag, and Dustin held on to the #81 tag.

On a damp Monday night, we had 18 people come out for the first week of the Deer Lakes Monday Night PDGA League!. Eric Nichols shot the hot round taking down Open with a 55, with Dave Hughes winning Advanced with a 59, and Tim Sladisky taking down Intermediate with a 63. Jimbo Jackson walked away with a cool $16 from the CTP on hole 15.

We did get booted out by the park this week, so next week we will again be starting at 5:15 and will be playing from the red tees. I will also be sure to try to make only 3-somes so that we finish with enough time and don't make the police wait. See you next week!

It's finally here, the 1st week of the 2017 season of Deer Lakes League! To start things off, we will be playing the red tees tomorrow and will be teeing promptly at 5:15 to ensure that we will have enough daylight. The sun has been setting around 7:45, so this will give us about 2.5 hours to play. Please be sure to keep up the pace of play so that we do not get stuck out in the dark this year. No lollygagging!
