Next Saturday is the last week for points for JC Winter League. The following week will be league end round at Johnson Park. It will be the last time we need to bring out baskets. The Johnson round will be on March 18th. If you have a basket that you can bring or let us use please post it here or on my Facebook post so I can have an idea on how many baskets we will have. I would like to have the baskets show up at 10 am. so we can get them set up so we can still tee off around 11 am.

FYI. Winter League will be canceled next weekend February 4th. Please Join Joe Gill out at Bluegill for his annual Super Bowl random doubles round. Could be the biggest random doubles ever. Winter League will also be canceled February 18th as I will be at the Meijer State Winter Games and Shea will be hosting the 2nd annual FreezeFest which is a bring your own partner doubles food drive/fundraiser tournament so don't forget to bring out some non perishable food items to donate. I will also be happy to take food donations at the winter games for those of you playing there.

Sorry I forgot to post news from last week. Ok I was looking at my Flight Risk page and realized I forgot to post what we are doing tomorrow. We are going to play worst drive doubles from the short tees. You only keep the worst drive and it will be best shot after that. Aces will still count as a 1 as when the disc lands in the basket your hole is done. If your partner hits an ace you can still take your drive to try for a share of the ace pool. Also there will be a separate ace pool for short tees for the rest of the year. Also we will be out to shovel the short tees tomorrow at 9:30 if anyone wants to help.

Also trying the Winter League record today was Aaron Wester's and Sancho Valdez shooting a -19. They were followed closely by two teams shooting an -18 Jason Storm and Lee Crandall and Jon Kroll and Mike Klumpp. Great rounds guys.

The ace pool is starting are $39 plus what we get tomorrow. Come on out while the weather is still halfway decent. One more time come on out and join us tomorrow at league there are no club restrictions on ace pool everyone is eligible for the whole thing. There's no mandos or ob's so join us for a great time.

Also don't forget to join Shea for the random doubles mini buzzz tournament on Sunday. I would also like to thank all the guys who have been grooming the course out at JC. Thanks to the 14 people who came out for league today. Sorry I wasn't there but I was playing in the Buzzz vs Roc tournament today. Thanks to Jim Wareck for host league for me today. Brutal weather and wind made for a tough day everywhere. Dave Nyhuis and Jacob Kroll took home the win today with a -12. Great job guys. We had an ace today also Bill Holten aced hole #1. Thank you to everyone who brought out baskets or let us borrow baskets. No ace today so ace pool will start at $59 next week. Winners this week was Chad Hutchison and Will Oostdyke who beat second place by 4 shots shooting a -12. Congratulations guys.

This will be the only week I will try to figure out who is who if those three people are identified I will correct their names so their scores count for them. Going forward please ensure your full name is on the card, don't assume I will know who you are as my memory isn't that great. If I don't know who is on the card it will go to a ? Name or initial if given I will not change anything after week 1. Players with. ? or an initial will not qualify for payouts at the end of the year.

Week one will be a normal best shot random dubs. Week 2 we will be playing at Johnson Park and we will need people to bring out baskets. Our league will only get to play this layout twice more before the baskets are returned to Johnson Park permanently. So come out and join us for that. Also I would like to have an idea how many baskets I can count on so please post here or message me to let me know. We ask that the baskets show up to the course by 10 am so we can get them placed for play.
