Congratulations! You all survived winter. Congratulations to Jason Jopps for winning the Fall/Winter season. As it has become tradition/the norm, we will provide you a dri-fit type shirt....just let me know what you want on it. Past selections have included something that says Champion on it, but you are certainly welcome to be creative.

Also congratulations to those of you who earned state berths. I believe that I have contacted all of you regarding the details on getting registered for states and such.

Since we ended Fall/Winter last Wednesday (there was some discussion on it but not a formal post), there will be 2 weeks off before Spring/Summer begins on April 5th.Clearly you should still play some golf even in these few weeks, especially if the weather is nice. I would encourage you to coordinate rounds with one another.

I will create the spring/summer league here on DGS and make a formal post on the first location. It will be either Bandemer or Mary Beth Doyle (if it is semi-dried out by the time we are ready to start).

I also am planning on having a few shirts available to look at tomorrow. If you are interested in a WC Glow dri-fit shirt, please make sure to bring a little extra cash. Will try to have a few different colors so you get an idea of what you might like.

Lastly, you are welcome to pay for the Angry Leprechaun at any time. I will be happy to take payment at league.....just make sure that we mark it down/update your registration to paid.

Planning on doing a run of shirts dri-fit/performance material. Let me know if you are interested in one....need to know your preference on shirt color as well as your size. A sample design (and a few sample colors) can be found in the Pictures tab above. Will have a few sample shirts to look at next week. Would like to have an idea of who wants to purchase one next league night on March 1....should allow me time to get them cranked out and back to you before this fall/winter season ends on March 15th.

I know this is several days late as we played last week, but I still wanted to make a post.

Thank you all VERY MUCH for coming out to play glow at Rolling Hills last week. We had 30 players come out for the evening. It was a great chance to play a course that we love, but rarely get a chance to see at night. I hope that you all had a good time and enjoyed the challenge.

Thank you to the Rolling Hills staff who made this possible. We enjoy the chance to be a part of the Winter Fun Fest event each year. Your staff and Rangers were very polite and helpful. Thank you to Nick Hubel for coming out and laying salt down on the pads that needed it) (think I forgot to mention this on Wednesday night). It was MUCH appreciated. Thank you also to Brian Crouch for providing salt as well. The pads were a little slick from the recent snowfall and without the salt, it would have been tretcherous....thanks fellas.

We are playing at Rolling Hills tonight. We got a very small amount of snow last night (like hardly any) but my driveway did have a little ice on it....will bring some salt tonight just in case. If anyone gets to the park to play before I arrive (I hope to be there around 6:00/6:15), please let be careful on the pads as they could be slick.

Registration will take place in the lodge.

Glow tomorrow night is on at Rolling Hills....start time is 7:30. We need to be done by 10:30 as they made special accommodations and the park rangers are coming in especially for us. Gate will be staffed and you should expect them to charge entry (unless you have a park pass already). My understanding they are going to have the gate staffed at 6:30

We are going to use 1-6, 17, 18 and the practice basket for our setup. I know that several of you wanted the whole course experience. We will have to go with this layout on Wednesday. We will setup a tee pad along the road for the practice basket (nothing real crazy long, probably 250-300 feet) Hoping we can play long & short pads so please come prepared for that as an option.

Registration will take place in the lodge. There is counter space on the left as you walk in.

Next week we been given an opportunity to play at Rolling Hills as part of their Winter Fun Fest. We will be keeping things simple and playing a set of holes closest to the lodge area. Plan is to play 1-6, 17, 18, and make a hole utilizing the practice basket. We could mix in a round from long and shorts using this layout). I know some of you really want to play the actual course but that is not guaranteed (still exploring that as a possibility).

From what I was told, the gate will be in effect and they are charging to enter the park. Please keep that in mind and carpool if necessary.

It has been rainy the last few days, there is likely mud and standing water out there waiting for us tonight. Please make sure that you grab an extra towel or two.

Placed an order with MVP and it is scheduled to be delivered today. Ordered Matrix, Octane, and Ions....Will have them with me and available tonight.....bring some extra cash.

Also have the MDGO fundraiser discs and they will be available. Could only get 5 of the Zones and they are spoken for. But do have a few of the pink glow mini Buzzzes available. Also picked up a few Thrashers and Glow Stalkers (which are now out of production from what I understand).

Will be placing an club stamped order with Discraft VERY soon....please let me know in person tonight if there is something you would like us to consider ordering.

Will know more once I get out there tonight.

Picking up MDGO berth and fundraiser discs on Saturday....there are a few midnight glow zones (yes, I typed that correct) and pink-glow mini Buzzzes. They will be available next Wednesday.

Thank you to everyone who supported the club by purchasing some WC Glow stamped MVP/Axiom Discs....they are going fast....think I have only like 14 left (out of 50)....If you missed out send me a message/text....Will be happy to send you some images of what we have left.

Bring a new disc (free of ink or markings) wrapped of course, and based on scoring you will get a chance to select a wrapped disc brought by someone else (you must bring a wrapped disc in order to participate).

I will have some discs available for purchase tomorrow night in the event you forget it at home....these will be from the club's inventory.

As for next week, I mentioned it last night that it would be fun to have a gift exchange. Taking the idea from another local club, the details are pretty easy to follow. Bring a new disc(s) valued around $15....wrapped of course. Discs should be new and non-inked. We will play our league round and then at the conclusion, gifts will be selected....winning scores from the round will have first choice at the "gifts" that were brought (assuming that they participated and brought one themselves)....2nd place will go next, and so on until all gifts have been selected. I think things went well last year and the shear fun of opening a new disc is great.

In addition, you MAY have noticed we got some snow. Please make sure that that you have newer/bright LEDs on your discs, tape up, and warm them up (I suggest using your heater on your car's dash) before league. In doing so, you will reduce the risk of seperation and looking for discs tomorrow night.

Also an option is taping ribbon (about 2 feet of it) to the bottom of your discs to help find in the snow. There is probably close to a foot of snow out there. New LEDs WILL show through the snow, ribbon will also stick up through the snow in most spots.

Will have handwarmers and LEDs tomorrow night for those who need them.

I am also pleased to announce that the order of Glow Mini Buzzzes arrived and man, did Discraft deliver.....LOTS of foils to choose from. Will have them with me tomorrow night....$10 each.

Just a friendly reminder......glow discs/use of glow tape and snow do work really well (unless you have an LED taped to the glow disc). Please help everyone from spending additional time looking for tough to find discs. Also those of you (myself included) please check your LED lights....dim lights can be difficult to locate.

We should be OK using MBD this week with what little snow we have (does not look like we have more before then). This may be the last week we use MBD until after winter (or at least until the our typical snow season) is over.

Small turnout last night (to be expected with weather and holiday upon us). Played Red-Red layout and saw Frame/John Rolfe-Chin take the win. Common/Kerns were not far behind to take the 2nd place money. Kerns, Rolfe-Chin, and Crouch took CTPs last night.

Have a large black mitten and a Red Wings work-style glove that were left in my the back of my van last night when we were doing payouts/CTPs....go check to see if you are missing one. Will have them with me at next week's at league round.

Lastly, have a GREAT Thanksgiving with your families. Enjoy some football games, and most of all....enjoy the down time. Safe travels to all.

There are 25 possible weeks of scoring

We will count your 20 best point total rounds, allowing all participants the flexibility of dropping your lowest 5 point total rounds

Ace points will count toward your point total

Payouts will be determined by the number of players that enter
