I have done a little rearranging on the schedule but it's not in the next couple weeks. So if you have printed a schedule, you may want to throw that one away. I may still change some dates when I look at it again later, but it's mainly the last 6 weeks of league. If there is anyone interested in a Berth to the Michigan State Finals in Ludington on Labor Day weekend, and you don't have one yet, please let me know and we will figure out how to give them away. Currently I do know the masters women's divisions usually never get them at tournaments so I was thinking of using the 2 that I have for 2 Masters women to go, but I want to see who is interested first. I have family in Springfield, VA so they are basically your neighbors! We may be visiting for Xmas so I will text u or call u and let u know. there is a a short course near them at Burke park that is fun to play:-) Have a safe move and we shall meet up and disc again.

Hi Ladies! Laura here... I just wanted to leave you guys a message since I have been MIA from leagues a bit the past month or two. I have been quite busy recently because I am moving to Washington DC and have been spending quite a bit of time trying to get things together preparing for it! Even though I didn't get out as much as I wanted to, I just wanted to let everyone know how much I enjoyed throwing with you all this summer! It was totally awesome to meet other girls like myself who love the sport for what it is, and not just because our men play! I'm definitely bummed that I haven't been able to get out recently, but I just had to write and say that it was truly a pleasure getting out and throwing some discs with some awesome chicks!! Thanks for letting me be a part of something truly awesome and unique in the Lansing area! I wish you all the best! :)

I ordered mostly purple and blue minis with a few of each other color added in. I tried to get pink but they don't have pink. I suggested they get get pink in the future;) He must think I am crazy when I send him disc order requests:)

I now have a pair of the Keen Milo2's. They are made for disc golf and I also have slightly wider feet. They are by far the most comfy shoes I've ever disced in. I've gone through a lot of shoes in the past 12 years of golfing:) The only issue I have with them now is they are black and suck in the heat. I also found a pair of Salomon's (SP?) for only $30 at the outlet mall last year and they are SUPER comfy and very breathable. I would check out Gander Mountain for sales and the other places Jayne suggested too! I once got a pair of waterproof Keens at GM for $50.

Dogs of Disc in Grand Rapids are hosting this event this weekend. I know it's such short notice but let me know if you want to go. I'd love to go play in this!

This is a first for the sport of disc golf! We are trying to encourage as many players to come out for this event as possible. We have opened up cashless pre-reg on discgolfscene.

ATTN ALL CLUBS: We are offering to send home a free metal Innova basket back with the club who brings the most players! Please get registered and fill this event!

Junior 1 (16 & under)
Junior 2 (14 & under)
Junior 3 (10 & under)

Important: Junior 2 & 3 divisions must have an adult present in each group.

Important: All divisions must have a minimum of 6 players to be considered a division. If there are not 6 players in the division, the player will have to move to an appropriate division. Minimum of 3 players for all Junior Divisions

This event will be a two day event. All players must check in at Tournament Central at Brewer Park each day between 8-9am. Player meeting will be at 9:45 each day. Tee-Off at 10:00 am.

All Divisions will be playing for gold, silver and bronze medals as well as bragging rights.

Open- AM1 Women:
2 round of 18 Day 1
1 round 18 Day 2

All Juniors:
1 Round of 18 Each Day

Spectators are welcome to walk with groups. Please make sure to follow disc golf etiquette at all times. See the PDGA Handbook or go to www.pdga.com for rules.

FYI - Burchfield charges a $4 'pay to play' course fee (plus entrance to get into the park). If you can not afford the pay to play fee, the club will help you out and pay $2 of it. I want you all to come out and play and hope the fees do not deter you from so. You can also buy an annual golf pass for $40. We will be out there often this summer.

There are place near the MLK and Bishop Rd intersection to car pool to save on entrance to the park (if they are charging, it's hit or miss right now). My car is full tonight so I can't meet anyone but post some messages or contact each other to car pool into the park!
