The Fairways of Fairhope is pleased to announce that we will be holding the Fairhope Jubilee to start your Disc Golf New Year right! This is the 10th/Tenth/X Fairhope Jubilee and we intend to make it the best yet!We welcome Mile North Disc Golf who will be the Event Coordinator. Okay tomorrow is the big day.Bag tag / Tourney in Freeport. Anyone that wants in on the 29th in Freeport we are going to do a cook out. I will bring the condiments and charcoal,but you gotta bring your own drinks and what ever meat you want to cook, I will have a few hotdogs and hamburgers for some of you slackers lol or you can get food on your own ,there's a few good places to eat nearby.. same setting as the 22nd except we are going to have a Optional small prize fund put in $2.00 and pay first second and third,also a $1.00 Ace pot will be available we can do a couple of CTP's too . Arrive 8:00am short players meeting and start at 9:00. Also don't forget we would like to do a fun blind draw doubles after wards You don't have to have a Tag to play on the 29th (Freeport Ft Walton and Taly peeps) . but if you got one that would be awesome !!.I can give up to 3 people a ride but it will cost ya a few bucks for gas. hit me up on here or at one of the fields or [email redacted] . ps I hope at least one of the the Top 5 Tags will show up or maybe they are all scared!! Had a great time yesterday at Freeport, at the Chain Dragon course. We got a few new members signed up yesterday so go introduce yourself and play a game with them. Some good guys who are very good and will give us all some competition. We had 18 players show up yesterday for a really fun 18 basket round. Tags were exchanged, some for the better, and some not so much. Please check the leaderboard for updates, and also let us know if your tag # is the same as someone else. I noticed some people now have the same number and we need to find out who has which tag. Didn't see as many of our members as I had hoped would come out, but I'm sure this Saturday we'll have better numbers from our members turning out. Turbo Tim is hosting the tournament this Saturday at Chain Dragon so if you missed the one we had yesterday you can still get in on a good round this Saturday.
If you are looking for someone to play with, or want to find out when others are playing post it on here. I know some guys/gals go play on Tuesdays and Thursday afternoons, I believe @5 but check all of our pages to find out.
Our next Bag Tag Challenge will be held in December. Time, location, and other details to follow later. We have over 50 members now and we would really like to see more of you out there especially if you don't have that many rounds recorded on the leaderboard and you signed up in April.

Turn south onto Hwy 83-a (Freeport Family Fitness at corner).
Travel south 3/4 of mile.
Turn right at Freeport Regional Sports Complex sign, go down until you see parking and soccer field on your right. As you turn into complex look for parking up front.

We are having the 1st bag tag challenge this Saturday at the disc golf course in Freeport, Chain Dragon. This is an 18 basket course that has a great combination of hazards and fairways. It is less than an hour from Panama City at the intersection of hwy 331 and hwy 20. Really not that far at all. If you need directions please send us an email. We are planning on playing two rounds of 18. The first round will be for bag tags, which everyone who plays will need. If you do not have a bag tag we will be signing people up at the challenge and a tag will be issued to you at a cost of $10 per membership. If you have never played the Freeport course it is recommended that you obtain a floater disc, which will float in water. Depending on how many people attend, we will separate into small groups, like we did in April, and start at different holes at 9 a.m.. Someone in your group needs to keep score of everyone in your group. Keeping up with your own score would be a good idea.With this bag tag challenge there will be no divisions. Everyone who has a tag will be competing for a better tag no matter the age or gender. There will be no cook out, lunch is on your own. There is a local Hardee's and Subway in Freeport among other local establishments. The weather is looking great on Saturday so we should have a great day to play.

After the 1st round and tags are organized for each player, you may either leave or stay for a doubles round of 18 holes. This round you will have a partner and play as a team. I don't believe this round will be for tags as it will just be for fun and something we have not tried yet. If all goes well we will have more team tournaments and challenges in the future.



If you plan on attending please send a reply email back to us so we may get an estimate as to how many people plan on attending. We have received several emails from people who plan on attending, but we would really like to have everyone come out. You do not have to let us know, you may just show up Saturday morning if you wish. You can contact any of the staff on our discgolfscene.com page for more details.



There 2nd bag tag challenge the following Saturday, September 29th, at the same Freeport course. This bag tag challenge will also be a Panama City Chain Gang event with Turbo Tim heading it up. Tim is planning on playing a bag tag challenge round of 18 as well, and is thinking of having a cook out also. Please contact Turbo Tim for more details and keep checking our site on Discgolfscene/pccg.com, plus Mike Bennett has started a Facebook page for our disc golf club, 'Panama City Chain Gang.' Please check both of these sites as they will have more details to follow.



We hope you will come out for either one, or even better both, of these events as we look forward to playing with old friends and new faces. We know we haven't had a group play since our initial kick off last April, so we are really hoping we have a great turn out in Freeport to see how many members are still playing, and to get an idea as to how many members want to keep having other bag tag challenges, tournaments, and events. Remember we are about half way to our annual tournament in April and over due for an event such as this. So start practicing your putting, get your bags ready, and bring your A game because this Saturday tags will be up for grabs!!

This is not a tournament for prizes, but a bag tag challenge for tags and a chance to play against other members you may not have seen since our initial challenge in April. Yeah, it's been that long. Hey guys and gals, we will have more tags for the September 29th Bag Tag Challenge at the Freeport course "Chain Dragon" for anyone who wants to sign up as it looks as though we will be out of tags very soon, which is great because that means we now have 50 disc golf members here!! When we started the club in April we had about 25 signed up and have doubled that number in less than six months.
Anyway, since we are playing two rounds (18 holes each round) for the challenge, we were thinking of having the second round a doubles round, where you will have a partner. Details to follow.

Hey guys and gals, where has everyone been? I know it has been hot. Joey, we need to get another order of bag tags, maybe 20-25? I know of someone who is thinking about joining and Turbo Tim met three other guys today and was playing with them.
We want to have another bag tag challenge, but this time at the Chain Dragon course in Freeport, possibly on Saturday September 29th. A very nice 18 hole course with a little of everything. If you have never played there I highly recommend getting a floater disc as it does have water hazard holes. We need to get flyers up at both parks to let others know also, so tell other disc golfers you know and see playing, let's get the word out. We were thinking about playing a round, eating (cook out), then one more round.
Since we started our Panama City 'Chain Gang' with 23 players, we have grown to double that in three months! T-shirts are also something we have considered creating for members. If you guys have any comments or questions please post them or contact us directly.

When you play a bag tag round please make sure to post it on the leaderboard. As you can see right now we have some players with the same #. If everyone will designate one person in your group to post the round it would save a lot of confusion with the rankings.
To post your round just click on the Leaderboard tab, then right under that on the Leaderboard page is "update leaderboard." Click on 'update' and it should take you to a page that is very easy to navigate to be able to post your round. If it doesn't work or have any questions please contact Joey, Turbo Tim, Kirk, or myself.

On submitting scores, when your match or group has finished and the scores need to be entered, just click on 'Submit bag tag updates' on the right hand side of our Panama City Chain Gang logo. This should allow you to enter your scores for your round(s) played that day. This should be done by the person keeping your groups scores that day. If you have any questions please contact one of our league staff members. If you noticed your tag # is different on the leaderboard than what you have, please let us know which tag number you posses so we may change it.

Hi guys & gals, there seems to be some confusion to our leaderboard once some scores are turned in. If you are playing for tags as soon as your round(s) are over, someone from your group needs to turn in all of your scores from that match. I know when I play in a group someone is in charge of collecting and keeping scores. Please select someone from your group that is playing and before the end of the day, preferably asap after the game, make sure they submit the groups scores from your round(s). This would help keep the scores up-to-date and who has which tag. As of right now the board shows I have tag #18, but I actually have tag #24. And make sure to get each tag # mathced to who it was rewarded to so we can we match tags with who owns them posted on the leaderboard.

I am asking all players to please try to car pool and/or park out side the fence or off East Ave. side of Joe Moody park as the park is booked for another party and i have a feeling if the weather is good we may have a fairly large turn out. I am working on parking at Under The Oaks and will post soon. Also Kirk ,Joey and anyone else ,what do you guys think about any Mando's or Out of Bounds at both courses, Have we finalized the Bag Tag Rules, I don't have time to work on them anymore so what ever you guys decide is fine with me ,but we should print them out to hand out before Challenge. The bag tags will be distributed on April 28th following the tournament being put on by Turbo Tim. The tags will be distributed in the order that you place in the tournament. Ties will be broken by a closest to pin on hole number one. Fee to join bag tag league is $10.00.This covers your club fee and pays for your tag. It does not cover tournament entry fee. This must be paid on the tournament date or before to be eligible for a tag at that time. If you cannot make tournament or havnt paid for tag, you may receive the next highest tag available at time of your payment. If you know you are not making tournament and would like to go ahead and pay for tag to put you in a higher position for tag, you may do so at any time.
To join BAG TAG CHALLENGE 2012, make a profile in discgolfscene.com and then email me at [email redacted] so I can put you in league. You should also go to clubs, find PANAMA CITY CHAIN GANG and make friends with that club.
