Finally, after 24 weeks, it's OVER. Had another great turnout at Clay for the final round. The cool night and early sunset seemed to bring the best out. There was a 3-way tie for first with the teams of E-Mac/Maynes, Sir William Sivils/D, and Basilio/Jofre all shooting a 48. They had a CTP throwoff for the top spot on hole 11 with some cars lighting the way. McCabe was able to beat out the NYS Champ by a couple feet to take 1st place, illustrating that the NYS Champ ain't got $#!^ on a World Champ! Eric also donated one of his signature Ti Wasps for a CTP. Nate Gould took home the prize on hole 11. Thanks Eric!

Last week of the 2012 Wednesday league will be this Wednesday at Clay. Due to the amount of daylight left, money needs to be in by 5:15 sharp. This time isn't negotiable this week, so I'm sorry if this ends up excluding some people. Plan ahead and get there a little early or there will be groups finishing in the dark.

There is a tournament at Hyzer on Saturday which conflicted with the year end fling. I'm just going to move it one day. Series points, CTP throwoff (if any), and prizes will all be this Sunday 9/23) at Oxbow. Festivities start at 10am. If you are due something at the final and can't make it, YOU WILL get it eventually. Afterwards we will play a casual round and I'll get something for lunch. If you know you're coming, please post it here so I can get a rough idea for numbers.

Apparantly Anthony and Nick were incorrectly placed as C pooler since they came in 1st and 3rd. Anthony was the big winner with a CTP as well. Todd and Dan got screwed when they pulled mine and my brother's name, but hey, it's a gamble every week!

It was either the fat ace pool (still untouched) or the perfect weather, but it turned out to be another great night at the 'bow. Chad Demillo and K.Bauer tore it up to go-10 and take the top spot. There was a 3-way tie for 2nd and the teams decided to shoot off for the 2nd place cash. Billy/Maynes won a CTP on hole 10 against Osborn/Asmussen and Salisbury/McCabe.

A perfect night at Oxbow. Jeremy Bargabos came out and won all his money back on his first league night! I'm pretty sure his partner didn't help out much. There was a 3-way tie for first that was broken up by a few safari holes. Osborn and Spencer came out on top getting the best of Trip/Karl and KC/Jeremy. Shot of the night had to have been Shenendoah's deuce on 18. After struggling a bit he stepped up and parked 18...I think I even saw Chris Sweet smile.

Due to the CNY Championships being moved to September 15th, which is when the league final was scheduled, we need to make an adjustment to the schedule.

Since I assume people will want to get some practice in leading up to the CNY's, I am going to cancel Wednesday, September 12th at Clay so people can get their practice in.

Our last day of organized league will be on Wednesday, September 19th at Clay.

The league final will be on Saturday, September 22 at Oxbow. I will start distributing the series payout, ace pool throw-off if necessary and other assorted prizes at 10am. A casual un-organized round will follow for anyone who wants to participate. I'm sure people will be there for an earlier round as well at 7:30am. If you are due a payout or prize and can't make it, don't worry, I will track you down and get it to you.

Shot of the night was X man's ace on hole 1. My group was teeing off on 2 when we saw the splendor. Jarad went first, but his partner nailed it. Unfortunately Meitus emptied the coffers last week, so he only took home 27$. But the memory is priceless.

The rain and wind didn't keep anyone away last night. We had 36 people show up for the first week, which is a new record for me since I've been running this thing. Ben Basilio and Bobby Buck shot a hot 46 in 25mph winds to take the top spot with Trip and Amy Owens not far behind with a 47. The teams of Good Twin/Mike Ash and Billy/Steve Z rounded out the top spots with a 2-way tie for 3rd shooting 49.

Eric Jones took home 18$ for the A Pool CTP on hole 1 and Jason Laufer took the B Pool CTP on hole 10 for 18$. Its always nice when people who don't cash take home some greenbacks on the CTP holes.

We had quite a few new faces for the league opener and I'd like to thank all those B players that had to step up to round out the teams. Much appreciated. Hopefully we get a more even split in the upcoming weeks.

Another gorgeous night at the 'bow. We had 2 new players come out last night. Unfortunately Tim Cartner didn't win any money back, which is unusual. However, D's partner, you may have heard of him, Eric McCabe, did happen to finish in the black. Thanks to both of you for joining us. While Eric made Oxbow his b!$%^, shooting -8 in a warmup round, Denise had to bail him out a few times when it counted to finish a whopping -12. It was fun to watch a top pro use his putter on about 15 out of 18 holes. Big thanks to Denise for getting Eric to play in our dinky little league. The story of the night though came from a team of underdogs, Chris Sweet (the NYS advanced masters champion and local "big deal") and, you may have heard of him, Doug Bauer (exceptional intermediate), finished the night with 7 birdies in a row on holes 3 - 9. We're pretty amazing.

After some nasty rain, things cleared up and it turned out to be a great night! Pat C. and I tied Gary and Jason G. for the top spot and then they took it all on a CTP throw-off on hole 10. I went for it and Gary laid up! Wuss.

Compared to the last few days, it was a nice, cool breezy night. Ryan talked Sean Gallagher into coming out for his first league night and he even got a few bucks back. I think every new person so far this year has gotten some cash back their first night.

1 throw separated the top 6 teams. 2 teams tied for 1st with a 45. Ryan O./Kevin P. outshot KC/Shenendoah on a 3 hole playoff for the top spot. Ryan and Kevin ended up taking 1st. We did a CTP on hole 1 for the remaining 3 payout positions. 25 people showed and the $$ earners were:
