MISSION
Deadwood Dubs is dedicated to building community through kindness, respect, and inclusivity. Our mission is to create a welcoming environment where players of ALL skill levels can enjoy the sport, support one another on and off the course, give back to the community and park, and build lasting relationships. Together, we promote fair play, positive competition, and a love for disc golf and one another beyond the course.
Note: Putting others down or making others feel a certain way because you get paired with somebody at a “lower” skill level than you will not be tolerated. By playing in this league, you agree to always treat others with kindness and respect.
Format: Random Draw Doubles
When: Tuesday Nights
Time:
Check-In @ 5:20 – 5:45pm
Players Meeting @ 5:45pm
Tee-Off @ 6:00pm
3 Sessions:
Session 1: April 21st – June 9th (8 weeks - 1 week break on June 16th)
Session 2: June 23rd – August 11th (8 weeks - 1 week break on August 18th)
Session 3: August 25th – October 13th (8 weeks)
The Details:
$6 Buy-In (per person) / $1 Ace Pool (optional)
$4 goes to payouts each night / $2 goes back to the course
Cash payouts: Each night to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams
Payouts = 50/30/20%
Ace Fund: Carries over week-to-week until an ace is hit. If there is no ace the last league night, there will be a CTP throw-off to determine the winner. Note: If you hit an ace your first week attending THIS SEASON, you will receive 50% of the pot (excluding week 1). Ace pool cannot be hit during a playoff (tie-breaker).
Layout: The layout will change each week (with some surprise formats a few nights!)
Scoring: Scores will be kept on paper scorecards. Score cards must be handed in at the end of the round to get the participation point/raffle entry (see below).
Ties: If there is a tie for 2nd or 3rd place, there will be a playoff starting on hole one and continuing play until a winner is determined by the first team to win a hole (unless all players agree to split the winnings). If there is a tie for 1st place, there must be a playoff to determine the winner for raffle entries and season points.
Wildman (aka Cali/Odd Dog): If there is an odd number of players, we will first take a volunteer for Wildman. If nobody volunteers, it will be a random draw. If you volunteer, you get ONE mulligan PER HOLE. If you end up being Wildman through random draw, you will bet a mulligan on EVERY throw. Note: You cannot be Wildman 2 weeks in a row.
Wildman Ace: If you are Wildman, you may only win the ace pool on your FIRST throw.
Raffle System: Each week that you attend league you will receive 1 raffle entry. At the end of each season we will have raffle drawings for prizes.
Note: You MUST be present to win. Drawings will be held on the last Tuesday of each session:
June 9th
August 11th
October 13th
