Last official night of Genesis Goldenrod Doubles for the year/season was last week 9/27. Statistics forthcoming...
Some ppl still gather informally on Thursdays at 5:00p.m. and flip for partners and play for whatever is agreed upon but scores aren't posted and no carry over ace pool. This usually fizzles out after a few weeks as we lose daylight quicker and quicker each week.

Worst fucking biting flies I have ever encountered in my entire life today at g-rod and I've been to alot of places including places in the Everglades in florida. Be prepared if playing leagues tomorrow, they started biting me when I got past coldwater on my bike and constantly molested me the entire time I was at the course! But the Mosquitos were pretty much nonexistent with all the shallow swamps dried up almost completely bone dry. I can see why not really anyone was out there today.

Thanks to everyone who came out last night. It started off nice and we had a great enthusiastic turn out (40) but most groups only got in 6,7,8 holes and unfortunately it didn't turn out the way we would have liked thanks to ma' nature, but that's the way she is. We still love her though. Also, I know not many people knew of the rule/procedure for when bad weather occurs, which this is only the second time in 5 years this has happened, but like I said in the post before, after the last time this happened the Board put together and voted on a procedure and plan for when it does. None of the rules have changed for leagues since we enacted them about 2 years ago so we didn't print out new rules sheets. We apologize for this in that we should have made them more readily available but the things that the rules cover rarely happen or most people already know. I will print out new rules sheets and make them available to whoever would like them.

So please come back out next week as the payouts will be higher than normal and the Ace pool is at $113.
Hopefully the good mother will grace us with a beautiful day.

Dangerous Weather: A round may be suspended during play at the discretion of the league manager. An air horn shall be sounded that shelter should be sought. If the weather condition does not clear in 15 minutes or if a second suspension in play occurs in the same night the league round is cancelled for the night. All bets shall remain in the pool and carry over into next weeks payouts. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT PLAYERS ARE PAID IN ADVANCE FOR NEXT WEEK, but that payouts for next week shall have an extra $monies in them,

I talked to several people that are unhappy with this supposed rule. I think you should be entitled to your money back. And it's pretty weird when we are walking from hole 6 as it started and everyone had already left except for few people, I had to tell mr. Ellis and his friend that I was unsure on the ruling and what I had heard. It sucks for people like him who come from a decent distance to come out. Also would have been a nice league night we had the most people I have seen in a while.

We also have a lot of people with a 9-5 who can't make until we move it to 6:00 and like mark said the start time is 5:00 right now because of sunset but that will be moved back to 6:00 in a week or t ... show more ›

We also have a lot of people with a 9-5 who can't make until we move it to 6:00 and like mark said the start time is 5:00 right now because of sunset but that will be moved back to 6:00 in a week or two. The last two weeks we have had 25 and 26 play so we're getting good attendance. Thats close to our average attendance for the last couple of years. Once we start at 6:00 the attendance numbers should rise.

I don't really care how partners are drawn as long as it is fair. Thanks Guys, hopefully my car will be fixed soon and i will be able to make it next week.
