Welcome Disc Golfers of all levels to the third year of the Metal series put on by Rain Or Shine Discs.
This league is all about creating epic moments and memories player will remember for a lifetime.

This year we are changing the name to Oregon Metal Series to expand our reach and offer the metal series to more people. This year we will select 5 courses to play in the series and cycle through each course 4 times.

This will be a 20 match play series with a Championship Tournament at end of season.
Leaderboards will be updated after every match.
Points will be awarded for all players based on your placement of each round. The total points for all rounds will determine your leaderboard placement.
Season Champion tag awarded at end of season.
Points break down as follows:
1st Place - 10 points
2nd Place - 8 points
3rd Place - 6 points
4th Place - 5 point
All other placements get 4 points.

This league is free to play for those who do not wish to win prizes or cash out, however, still want to participate in the metal madness.

This year we will be using tags to signify which division you are in. Once you join that division you stay in that division.
We will have 4 divisions and a free to play option to sign up on udisc events. The four divisions go as follow:
Advanced
General
Casual
Junior
(Anyone with a PDGA rating of 920+ will automatically be signed up in Advanced division. It is your choice what division you start in at your fist match play.)

Tags will cost $10 for the season. (half of tag cost will go into cash ace pot every tag sold $5 each)
Each round will cost 7 dollars.
$1 dollar towards ctps
$1 dollar paid to TDs
$5 dollars paid back out to top 30% of winners in each division.
(Free To Play division does not get any payouts or prizes)

There will be two ace pots like last year.
Total for ace pot $5
$3 towards cash ace pot.
$2 dollars towards metal ace. (Win 1 disc from Rain Or Shine Discs, Redeemable from bin on site or Salem Disc Shop)

Rules are simple
Play Disc Golf with normal rules only difference you just have to hit metal anywhere on the basket. If a metal item is touching basket 100% and you hit the piece of metal that counts. Nothing but metal counts.
You score like you would your regular rounds.
No out of bounds or Mandos.
This is all about having a fun round with your friends and family.
