Announcing Trolley Museum Mondays! The inaugural PDGA sanctioned spring singles league at Northwest Branch Disc Golf Course.
This course has been a work in progress for a couple years now and it is finally open for play! In the spirit of developing the NWBDGC community, please join us each Monday for 6 weeks from April 13th to May 18th.
Rounds will start at 5:15PM. Try to arrive about 20-30 minutes early.
Keep in mind daylight will be limited as sunset will be around 7:45PM the first couple weeks.
In the event of inclement weather we will move that given week's round to the Wednesday of that week. I will post that update in the comments section if necessary, so make sure you have clicked "follow" to get an update notification.
To keep things simple for this inaugural league, divisions offered will be MPO, MA1, FPO, and FA1. If you normally play an age protected division, please simply use your best judgement on which division to join.
Weekly buy in will be $10 for MPO and FPO, and $5 for MA1 and FA1. The breakdown is as follows.
$1 for pdga fees.
$1 towards weekly cash CTP.
$1 to ace pot (All divisions combined. Rolls over to the following week if not hit).
$2 towards a donation to the National Capital Trolley Museum with whom we share the property. This total will be donated at the league's conclusion as a thank you for allowing us to throw frisbees on the property and share their facilities.
This means that if you choose to play MPO or FPO, the remaining $5 of your buy in will go to weekly payouts which will be the top 40%. This is a league with cash payout, so amateurs do not need to turn pro to accept prize money. So if you're an amateur who wants to take a stab at making some cash, go for it! But if you want to keep costs low and just play for fun/points/rating, that option is also available.
