Well, summer leagues are starting to wind down, the days are starting to get shorter, and Fall is right around the corner. This year, instead of letting the season dwindle into snow, let’s glow!!

Friday Night Flights, Presented by Backbone Disc Golf

Format: Random draw doubles

When: Friday nights starting September 20th

Time: 7:00pm registration, 7:45pm chip draw, 8:00pm tee off (shotgun start).

Players: 72 player cap

Price/Breakdown: $10/night to play, optional $1 ace pool
$5 - Weekly payout
$2 - Finals
$1 - Cash CTP
$1 - Glow supplies (Tape, glow sticks, batteries, replacement basket lights, etc.)
$1 - GRDG

There will also be a weekly sponsor CTP from Backbone Disc Golf at no extra charge. CTP will be a glow disc of your choice.

Points: There is a points system for finals qualification. 5 points for simply showing up and paying to play, and 2 points for every team you and your partner beat. Example: If John shows up and pays to play, he earns 5pts automatically. After his round he and his partner beat 4 out of ten teams (Placing 5th) they will earn an additional 8pts for a total of 13pts for the evening.

Rental: UV flashlights will be available to rent.

For purchase: There will be some limited glow supplies available for purchase each week for those who do not own glow and would like to get into it. (Discs, MVP hive glow tape, and UV flashlights).

Provided: Each night glow tape will be available for use at no extra charge. Player will be allowed up to 6 pieces of tape per night. We will not be responsible for the replacement of tape that falls off during play. If extra tape is necessary you may purchase 6 extra pieces for $1.

Locations: First 2 weeks will be at Ellison, following 2 weeks will be at Pfrommers, and the final 2 weeks will be at Shadow Pines.

Ace Pool: This is an optional $1 buy in. You have to be in it to win it meaning you have to pay the dollar at the start of every regular season round. If an ace is hit the person receives the entirety of the pot. In the case of multiple aces in one round the pot will be split evenly among the players.

Finals: Finals will be hosted at Pfrommer Woods. You do not have to buy in, but will have to qualify to compete. The format will be random draw doubles. The ace pot will not be in play for the finals.

If you have never played glow and have been curious about it, this is the perfect way to get a taste for it. This league is for players of all skill levels who want to meet up with others who enjoy glow golf, and have a ton of fun with some mild competition.
