I'm sure some of the rounds will be adjusted, but those are the unofficial ratings as of now.

We had 52 people play a league round and 166 rounds played in total. The League paid $108 to the PDGA, collected $357.96 for the ADGA, paid $13 to Meier Lake (thanks Meier for the discount!!!!), paid out $913.04 to participants over the 10 weeks, and will roll the $247 ace pot into winter leagues.

Winter leagues will likely start towards the end of October. Saturday mornings as usual. Hopefully we can get an early round or two at Kincaid and PC before the snow falls. Otherwise it will be a healthy dose of Westchester and Davis if it's playable.

Very sad but we've reached the end of summer leagues. And to me, there's no better place to be but Peters Creek.

Sunset is 8:12 PM today, so if you'd like to start early let me know and we can put some early cards together. I already have 1 person who can start at 5:00 and needs a couple playing partners. For those starting at 6:15, be prepared to walk out to your starting hole and start on time. I'll make everyone into 3 packs and spread us out on holes 1, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17. I think that should help us flow through the course quickly enough.

So get signed up, let me know if you can start early, and let me know if you have a favorite starting hole (other than 1) and let's send summer leagues off into the sunset with some aces and drain the $240ish acepot.

Well our first 20 hole round was fun. And I'm sure the last of the cards were racing the daylight to finish. This Tuesday at PC will be our final round of the summer session. If you can start earlier than 6:15, let me know your available starting time when you send your Venmo and I'll try and group cards to go out early.

Isaiah took down A pool with his -10, and he had the gall to do it with 2 bogeys as well. He got 12 birdies or 60% of the holes. I thought that was rather impressive since I came out in second with a -9 and zero bogeys. Isaiah and I were the only ones to birdie hole 5, so I guess that gave us the bump we needed to stay ahead of Morgan who came in third with his -8.

Naz beat back a hoard of -5 B poolers with his -6. Naz was the only B pooler to birdie hole 10 (Frank got it in A pool) and that snuck him past Allen, Jake, Dave, and Ryan who all shared second place.

And we had 3 people battle it out in C pool. Sal and Carrie came in tied for first place. Carrie looked to have it locked up until those final few holes.

While the stats say hole 3 was the easiest out there at .38 under par and more than half of us getting the birdie (11). Or I should say half or you all, since I was left out of the fun. I would nominate hole 9 as the best since I actually got a birdie on that one. Hole 9 had only 10 birdies but was still .38 under par. Hole 19 was also .38 under par, with 8 birdies and zero bogeys. 8 of you must be better putters of me cause I can't imagine any drives getting past that shield wall of trees. We did get at least 2 birdies on every hole out there.

Hole 5 was the hardest hole for the group. We shot .43 over par, with 2 birdies, 10 bogeys, and 1 double bogey. There were 3 double bogeys on holes 7 and 14.

The series points race seems to be locked up with the guy with the most rounds played well out in front. We may need to think of another reward structure for winter series (Saturdays at 11 AM starting some time in October).

This weekend is the Rally. The final 4 round tourney of the Alaska season unless I'm mistaken. So get signed up and rally!

We are at Alcantra this week for leagues in preparation for Rally in the Valley which is this weekend. They have the extra holes marked and ready for play so we'll have a 20 hole layout for leagues tonight. We are playing holes 17 and 18 from the new course as our holes 19 and 20.

Directions: After playing hole 18 of the regular course, take a left to the asphalt path that is down the hill through the woods. Go right on the path for about 200 feet. You will see the pink paint and fairway on the right. Throw from the teepad marked on the asphalt path. This is the new course hole 17 (hole 19 on your scorecard). After completing the hole 19, there is a trail that goes into the woods on the left. Find the marked teepad for the new course hole 18 (hole 20 on your scorecard). CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST AND CONFUSED

If you haven't done so, get signed up for the Rally this weekend. Always one of the best tourneys of the year. Next week is our final summer league. It will be at Peters Creek.

Well it was a fitting end to our last rated round played at Kincaid for the summer. It was a little windy. We had 17 people show up and toss plastic in the wind, hopefully generally towards the blue baskets.

Groves led the whole field with his -2 taking down first place in A pool. He wasn't shooting lights out, but he was the only player to only have one bogey on the round. And in the wind, that means he was king. But he still get props for getting his 3 birdies on the harder gets on the night. He was the only birdie on hole 17, one of two people to get hole 1, and one of four to birdie hole 11. Sidenote, you had to be named Scott to birdie hole 1, congrats to Scott Haviland for also getting that birdie. Travis showed up and battled Groves all round, but Grove's birdie on 17 put him up one for the win leaving Thompson at -1 for 2nd place. I took 3rd (E) and was the only one to birdie hole 14.

Sramek, Benedict, and Munoz all crossed the finish line together with their +2, and thus winning B pool. They all did it in separate fashion by Sramek getting one birdie, Benedict two, and Munoz none. Either way they all split the cash at $12.67 each. And what kind of recap wouldn't want to recognize that Sramek indeed birdied hole 8 again, I for one was on pins and needles to see if he could do it twice in a row. But this time he shared the honor with a couple of his lowly A pool brethren. Oddly enough, 4th place in B pool was also split by 3 fellas, all at +7.

DelReal pulled out the victory in C pool against the mighty Scott of hole 1 fame. Didn't have any spectacular holes, but he kept it level headed and tossed a lot of over-stable plastic in the wind. Truth be told he tosses a lot of over-stable plastic in the calm. He's Anchorage's own Aaron Gossage, but less mustachey.

Hole 4 played the easiest for us, but not by much with the wind. We were only .18 strokes under par, and 5 players got the birdie. Hole 1 was the only other hole to play under par at .06 under and 2 birdies (the great Scotts). Hole 14 played at par and every other hole was over par.

And over par they were. Hole 6 was a full stroke over par with no birds. Though I saw a picture, that Travis swears on his least favorite putter, claiming his drive landed in circle earlier in the day. Hole 12, 10, and 17 all played at more than a half stroke over par with only half of team Scott getting a bird on 17. There were no holes that weren't bogey'd at least once.

As our schedule shows, that was our last rated Kincaid round of the summer. We'll be at Alcantra next week as we prepare to rally at the valley.

This weekend is the final Moose Pretzel tourney of the summer. Plenty of room to get signed up. And the weather looks fairly decent.

Not sure why but scoring was tough out there for the night. Ratings were extremely generous. We can probably expect those to come back down to earth when the league is finished and our scores are finalized with the PDGA.

Conor took down A pool and the field by two stokes with his -6. His turbo putt was finding chains with ease. Mind boggling to us normie putters. Conor, Chris, and Brian were all able to get through the round with only a single bogey. Not bad at all for PC. Shoutout to Brian also for his 15 pars (83% of the holes) that's a whole lot of almost good enough. Dan and Isaiah split 2nd place at -4. Isaiah had the most birdies on the night with 9, but took some backwards steps on some holes. That what happens when you thorw really hard at trees I guess

B pool was grabbed by Chris with his -3. He had the second most pars with 13. So playing clean and easy for his massive B pool payout. Jeremy -2 took second and David -1 pulled into third.

Scott had another good week and locked down C pool with his +3. Highest rated round for him of this series. Nice job.

Only 7 players out of 21 got through all 18 holes without a double bogey or worse. Again, we really struggled out there!

Hole 16 was our easiest at .48 strokes under par. We also had 10 birdies and zero bogeys. Hole 8 was just behind at .43 strokes under par. Also had 10 birdies, but there was 1 bogey. Special congrats on hole 2. That is a really hard line to hit and we shot .24 strokes under par with 9 players getting a birdie.

Hole 4 kicked our behinds at 1.19 strokes over par. 7 Pars, 14 bogeys, and 8 double bogeys. The most bogeys and double bogeys of any hole and the fewest number of pars. Someone should really change that to the par 4 we all know it is. League Director is tripping.

Hole 7 and 15 were equally hard at over .6 strokes over par. Nobody was able to birdie holes 4, 6, 7, or 15.

Fairbanks Open is this weekend. Not a lot of people signed up, but the weather will be great and the courses are really fun.

Back to Kincaid next week.

Only a few weeks left for summer leagues. I (Dan) am in the points lead at 160. Followed by Purpero 132.50, Cassidy 127.50, Leeds 122.50, and Sramek 112.50. I also happen to be the only player with 6 rounds played. Gonna need some big fields and hot scores by the chase group if someone else wants the series champion mini for this session.

Great weather out there at Kincaid. We played the shortest layout and had our largest field of this summer session with 21 people showing up.

Hunter came back from his summer hiatus to take down A pool and the overall best score with his -8. Hunting down 10 birdies, but took a couple bogeys to bring him back to the group. He was the only person to birdie 9 & 11. Morgan played a super clean round scoring second place with his bogey free -7.

In B pool Allen got 10 birdies including 7 birdies in a row but also had a couple bad holes he'd probably wanna black out from his memory. All that was good enough to edge out Adam for 1st place in B pool getting his -7 to Adam's -6.

And we finally had a competition in C pool with Scott and Salvador both coming out. Scott having landed 4 birds was able to win C pool by 5 strokes.

As you might expect hole 4 was the easiest one out there with 17 out of 21 getting birdies. That's .81 strokes under par. Holes 8 & 14 also played more than a half stroke under par.

Hole 10 played the hardest at .67 strokes over par with 14 people catching a bogey and 2 of us getting the double bogey. One guy was named Dan. shame...

Only holes 6 and 15 didn't have any birdies.

Murphy took down A pool with his -5, beating the field by 2 strokes. He also was the sole birdie on hole 18. I'm sure more of ya'll had a chance to get the 2 and decided to layup. tsk tsk. Travis made his 2024 leagues debut, but couldn't quite keep the pace Murph laid down. He shot -3 and was the sole birdie on hole 11. And third place Morgan shot -2 and was the only birdie on the very tough hole 16. That's great man.

Zach beat up on B pool with his -2, and got the only EAGLE of the night by getting the 481' hole 4 in 2 shots. wowzers. Adam took second place and a lil money with +1.

And Salvador somehow held onto first in C pool and has won it seemingly without competition for 3 weeks in a row!

Murph, Travis, and Zach all had 6 birdies (or an eagle in Zach's case). Dan had the most pars! 15 (mp40 golf). Everyone had at least one birdie and one bogey.

Hole 4 played the easiest with 69% of us getting birdie or better. Only 1 bogey on that par 4. Hole 17 was second easiest with 7 (54%) birdies and no bogeys. Hole 13 and 16 were the hardest at .69 strokes over par. With only the 1 birdie by Morgan and 4 double bogeys.

Nothing on the schedule this weekend, but we'll be at Kincaid for leagues Tuesday the 20th.

We'll be playing Meier Lake tonight for leagues. Playing the short pads to Blue baskets (long), except for hole 9 where we'll play the long pad to blue basket. Hole 9 long pad is the one where we have the two trees right in front of the teepad that you throw between to the double stacked baskets. This is the layout we used for the tourney.

If the string/rope is still up from the tourney, we'll play OB rules on and beyond those. If they are no longer present, then your card can make the decision if your disc is in the lake/marsh area which will be OB. Same for hole 17, the dock and water is OB. And the dirt road/parking area is OB for any hole.

Send your Venmo to me ASAP if you plan on playing. When you get there, you must check-in at the front desk. Let them know you are there for league play and you won't need to pay them for the league round. If you are going early for a practice round before, you'll need to pay for that practice round. The acepot will not be in play today. Your typical $1 acepot buy-in will be going to Meier Lake instead. They are supporting the community by generously letting us use their private course for only $1 per person.

We'll either shotgun start on holes 1-4, or tee off from 1 with staggered start times. We'll see how many people sign up. CYA out there!

Lot happened this week, but needed to get Sramek's solo birdie of hole 8 in the internet history books. Good job Sramek. Also getting some lonely birds was Winther on hole 7, and Couch on hole 15. Speaking of the Winther/Couch combo, those dudes throw far. Winther edged out Couch in the States distance comp. Throwing 521 feet and then beat Couch in the sudden death throwoff afterwards. I think he threw even farther than his 521.

But Couch gets all the glory of taking down A pool with his -7. And also the kid almost Aced hole 18 to the blue basket in the first round of States. Hit the chains with his halo destroyer, but the disc popped back out the front. Sramek took down B pool again, and Sal took down all comers in C pool.

Congrats to all the studs who won divisions in the wind and rain at States. O'Brien MPO, Stewart FPO, CASSIDY MP40 (in a extremely tight race down to the final hole), Franky the tanky MA1, Mosely FA1, Mr. I run da Dubs Bouasri MA40, Mosley MA50, Alvarado MA60, Jarvis MA2, and Haviland MA3. Ya'll slang those discs well this weekend. Great job!

Looks like the course is fresh and clean for some disc golf tomorrow. Thanks to all the volunteers who have putting in the work the last few weeks.

We're going to play short pads to blue baskets at Kincaid. Acepot is currently at $134. I'll personally double it if you ace 10, 11, or 12. Send me your venmo payment ASAP please.

Also, there's going to be a putting clinic at Kincaid on Wednesday from 5-6PM. Jarod O'Brien will be sharing some tips, hints, and insights to help your putting game. It got him a state championship in 2021, so he must be doing something right. Free clinic, all skill levels welcome. Even beginners.

Wed Dubs League is Bring Your Own Partner night. So find someone better than you and come play some dubs at Kincaid at 6:30. Money in by 6:15 please.

We had 15 players come out for a mostly great weather round. Just a little rain at the end.

Allen (-8) took down A pool over Purpero (-7) who came in SECOND. Allen was the only player to go bogey free, which gave him the edge over SECOND place Purpero who also had 8 birdies but closed with a bogey on 2. Wood (-6) came out to practice for States and ended up going home with 3rd place and a little gas money to get home, or at least get back to Anchorage (he should have drove a Prius). Costales (-4) took fourth and was the only one to get 4 birdies in a row (holes 11-14).

Sramek, Munoz, and the elder Ratliff all split first place in B pool with -2. Judging by the scorecard it looks like Munoz was running away with it and then let the field catch back up with a couple bad holes at the end.

DelReal squeaked out the win in C pool and took home $5.50. Doesn't matter his score, he was first and last. Maybe we can get more than one C pool guy show up next week so Sal can make his buy-in back at least.

Hole 16 was our jam. 60% of the field birdied, and we shot .6 strokes under par. Discounting hole 4, hole 6 played toughest for us at .4 over par and 40% of the field getting a bogey and nobody getting the birdie.

This week's SECOND place finisher Purpero still leads the overall series in points with 95, Cassidy (82.50) and Allen (80) are nipping at his heels tho. Gall (60), Sramek (57.50), and Montague (55) are in the second chase group.

Welcome sports fans. Pupero took down the overall best score and A pool with a -3 performance. He had the most birdies with 7. Cassidy, Montague and Allen all shared 2nd place in A pool. Nothing spectacular, but all 3 had 2 birdies, 15 pars, and only 1 bogey. The only three people with only the single blemish. So cheers to mediocre!

Pupero is leading the series by 5 points over Cassidy and Montague. So keep showing up and getting those points if you would like to try and keep Pupero's hands off the custom mini we have waiting for the winner at season's end.

In B pool Sramek (how'd he get himself in B pool again?) won by 3 strokes with his -2. He had the second most birdies on the day with 5. Keegan, aka Eagle's shadow, took second place in B pool with a +1 and had 4 birdies.

C pool was won handily by Scott with closest competition nowhere to be found. Literally.

Looking at the course stats, hole 4 played the easiest. We were .6 strokes under par with 9 birdies and no bogies. Next was hole 3 with 6 birdies and 1 bogey, we played it .33 strokes under par. Holes 2 and 6 played the toughest, as they are well, tough par 3s. Hole 2 was the only hole to see 2 double bogies.

Tomorrow is the Anchortown tourney at Kincaid. Sunny skies and happy plastic in the forecast. Get signed up if you haven't already, the course is looking great.

Congrats to Zach who threw the hot round of the evening (-6), taking down B Pool by 3 strokes and the overall best score also by 3 strokes. He was the only person to go bogey free and one of only two people to grab a turkey (16-18). Let's go B pool bomber. Also in B pool Jake shot -3 which was the A pool score of choice. Nice job young Jake taking 2nd. And a shoutout to Naz who got 3rd and carded a turkey on holes 8-10.

A Pool had some sort of pact to shoot -3. That was too weird and I don't play that game. So congrats to me being the lone wolf at -2 and taking solo 5th for zero bucks! Anthony, Conor, Isaiah, and Brian all split 1st place cash. How boring.

We had a few solo birdies. Isaiah was the only birdie on 5, Conor birdied 11 in the new alternate pin location, and big Jake was the only birdie on 15. Good job taking strokes on the entire field gentlemen.

Weds Night Dubs is tomorrow at Kincaid as usual.

And this weekend is the tournament at Fireweed Meadows in Anchor Point. Only 14 people signed up, so every division is wide open. Except MP40, I got that one locked down ;) If you haven't been to the course out there, it is the best disc golf layout on a golf course that we have. Long bomber shots mixed with actual disc golf lines. Maybe if we can get the registration up over 30 in the next day or two, the TD can hit up the management there to let us do 27 hole rounds!

Speaking of great DG weather, Meier Lake still has plenty of spots left for registration. Looks like light rain, but nothing compared to last year's tourney there. They have their vendor tents all set up, and will have food and adult beverage sales in the lodge!
