Not 9 Hole Courses... 9 hole rounds. If your playing a course with 9 holes play it twice. Nobody should get the same amount of points for playing 9 holes as opposed to 18.

I agree with you Mike people take time out of their lives to go have fun with their bro's. So lets not undermine that by allowing people to accumulate points by showing up to one place playing multiple 9 hole rounds and getting credit for their 2 best thereby penalizing the player that took more time and effort for similar results.

If people are really in that much of an uproar of how points are distributed, then it sounds like those people need to be playing more disc golf. Want more points, go play with more leagues and play ... show more ›

If people are really in that much of an uproar of how points are distributed, then it sounds like those people need to be playing more disc golf. Want more points, go play with more leagues and play more courses. To me this points system is more for local bragging rights and Shaffer knows we'll rag on him until he's outta of the top spot ;) I know I suck and the points generally reflect this. However, it doesn't stop me from having a great time with my boys playing golf every week.

I know there are some perks for the Top rated guys, but no offense, this isn't the PGA World Tour. We aren't playing for Millions of dollars in tourney's and this isn't a reflection of the world rankings. It's local guys taking some serious time out of the busy lives and real world work schedules and setup a way for us locals to bust each others chops every week. These guys put in tons of time and don't get an penny in return. Foz, Scott and Pete do this because they are great guys & give back a ton to the local MI Disc Golf community. Instead of complaining about how other leagues are scoring their points (which has obviously been the norm for years now), we should be thanking these guys for all their hard work. Play more golf and enjoy the time we have left with our friends. Remember, the Mayan's say we are in-store for a massive flood next Winter Solstice this might be the last Winter points series any way ;)

And seriously....Cheers to Foz, Mr. White and the Web Wizard Christ. You guys do a wicked awesome job, thank you for your tireless efforts. The Scene and local disc golf wouldn't be the same if you three weren't at the helm.

I also like the fact that in your scenario Shaffer had to travel to a different course and league. Is there a league at the Farm? Again there are only 9 hole at bandy we play two different layouts but count as 1 round of 18 which I would apply to the Farm as well.
