Please report before 10am for course layout and check in.
Who:
• All disc golf players
What:
• Competitive tags for disc golf exchange
• Points award based on game play and results against other tag holders
When:
• April 1st – March 31st (the following year)
Where:
• Any agreed upon course between players
• Once a month at Beaver Branch
Why:
• To promote and award game play at all levels
General Concept:
Stampede is a tag system is a format that is geared towards rewarding disc golf play based on volume of rounds and/or result finish with other tag holders. Points are tracked and accumulated during each calendar month. The number of players, per round, determines the number of points that can be earned.
For example: if there are 5 players who agree to a Stampede round; it would be considered a five-point round. Points would be awarded on a scale that has the winner earning the most points and the player in last place earning the least amount (one point). No player can earn less than a point for their round. No player can earn more than the players who participated.
1st Place- 5 points
2nd Place- 4 points
3rd Place- 3 points
4th Place- 2 points
5th Place- 1 Point
Monthly Points Purpose:
Points add up from the beginning of the month and accumulate until the final day of the month. Players can build their points by simply playing a single round against multiple players and earning big points based on a top finish. Players can also earn their points even if they did not play particularly well but played a large volume of rounds.
For example:
Player A- plays two (2) rounds with a combined five (5) players in each round. Players A wins both rounds and earns ten (10) points for the month.
Player B- plays ten (10) rounds and finishes last in all rounds played. Player B would have earned 10 points for the month.
The monthly points are set up to reward not only the talented player but also the player who puts in time on the course and enjoys the game. Both players (and all in between) have a place in the Stampede system.
At the end of the month the top points earner will receive a prize from Saltwater Stampede for their performance. Prizes range from discs, novelty gifts, apparel, or credit towards a future tournament entry.
Tag Value:
Unlike many local tags, Stampede tags have a cash value attached to them. The top five (5) tags will be worth money at the end of the calendar year. Those values will be based on the amount of entries are in the league at the nine (9) month period.
Buy-in Breakdown
X amount: Yearly Payout
Y amount: Monthly prizes
Z Amount: Product Development
Tracking Points:
Players will need to record their round on Udisc (or whatever means) and screen shot it to the Stampede Group Page. After that the points will be logged and added to spreadsheet or points log for all members to see on Disc Golf Scene.
Top 3 tags must announce their scheduled rounds in advance for players tov be able to challenge.
