WELCOME TO THE 2023 WINTER/SPRING LEAGUE TRACK BY MIKEY BEAL!
This season, I'm feeling lots of Disc Golf burnout but I still want to put on some events and raise funds for this year's SoIL Showdown. So here's what's different. The courses will change. I haven't moved the Champ Side baskets yet, so for Week 1 on January 22nd, all divisions will be playing the Rec Side. After the Champ Side baskets are moved, the layout will switch to something we locals sometimes play, that I like to call "Figure 8's"
The Figure 8 layouts are built like this:
Figure 8 - Bomb Squad - Rec Side Front 9, Champ Side Back 9
Figure 8 - Strategically-Placed-Dynamite - Champ Side Front 9, Rec Side Back 9
I'm not planning on doing payouts or trophies because 9 times out of 10 I get left with trophies sitting in my garage. The fee to join the league is $20 to help me raise funds for SoIL4's Player Pack items, and the point of this league is to allow players to get their sanctioned rounds in without having to pay tournament entry fees. Nothing more than that.
This league will be a Flex start system, tee off anytime BEFORE 3PM.
Cards must abide by PDGA's Official Rules of Disc Golf and must maintain a minimum of 3 players to a card.
You MUST be entered into the league AND HAVE PAID PRIOR TO STARTING YOUR ROUND, otherwise YOUR SCORE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

This event will maintain a $5 Ace Pot that is tracked and reported on weekly. If you wish to enter the Ace Pot, please send $5 to my PayPal and include your Name, Division, and "Ace Pot entry" in the notes.
All players will need to provide their contact information to be entered into my email list where you will be informed of which layout is the intended layout for that week, plus any other news.
ATTENDANCE CLAUSE
Should attendance reach a point where the FLEX START SYSTEM will not work, adjustments will be made to accommodate players on a separate layout. Likely the opposite Figure 8 layout. This may result in the start of a new league.
The plan for SoIL 4 is this:
Custom-Stamped SoIL 4 disc or discs
SoIL 4 rubber shield patch.
SoIL 4 sunglasses
SoIL 4 Shield Stamped drinkware.
SoIL 4 Shield Stamped Mini
This stuff IS WILDLY EXPENSIVE to get, and I don't have a team to help gather sponsors for each event. I am only one person who wears 10 million hats. I hope you all will understand.
This league's attendance will be tracked and submitted to Castle Ridge in order to verify traffic in pursuance of the new Castle Ridge DGC.
