Hello disc golfers! The Fairbanks Disc Golf Association invites you to Tuesday Night Doubles League (TNDL).
What is doubles league? Doubles league is a 7-week long league that you choose your partner for the whole season. Please arrive by 6:30 and sign up, tee time is 7:00pm. Depending on how many teams sign up there will be 2-3 brackets at the end of the year for playoffs. This is formatted for all skill levels. Each week you and your partner will play 18 holes of disc golf in a best disc format. Best disc is where both players throw and you decide which one you would like to use each shot until the disc is in the basket. Each week scores will be turned in to be inputted into league standings. The league standings will determine which bracket you are in for the Playoffs. If your partner is not there we will be playing “Super Cali” again for the regular season. Super Cali allows you to have up to 2 extra throws if your partner doesn’t show up. I will explain the stipulations prior to week one. Each team can drop their lowest score of the year. The cost of doubles league is $20 per person, so $40 total for a team. Your individual fee for doubles league could be waived, if you become a Level 3 member of FDGA. So, make sure to get your member dues in to get a free entry to league! Remember this is my first year running doubles league, so if I forgot anything, please let me (Patrick Evans) know. Its time to grab your partner and let others know too! First Week: May 31st @ Birch Hill (Reds)
Second Week: June 7th @ Birch Hill (Blues)
Third Week: June 14th @ UAF (Gold)
Fourth Week: June 21st @ Birch Hill (Odds Blue/Evens Red)
Fifth Week: June 28th @ TBD (FTWW)
Sixth Week: July 5th @ UAF Gold
Seventh Week: July 12th @ Birch Hill (Odds Red/Evens Blue)
Playoffs/possible week 8 depending on teams: July 19th
Playoffs week 2: July 25th-27th depending on teams
