Here are your final handicaps for the year! This is what HiLo Dubs will be based on for next week. The lowest handicap will be paired with the highest handicap depending on who shows up to play that day. So it is very important that you let us know if you will NOT be there next week.

Div 1
1st Place goes to William Weideman who won it all with an amazing 51! Congratulations on Your Win!
2nd Place was a tie but both of them left, so no throw off could be determined! So with that we will defer to PDGA rules which states that whoever had the "last best hole wins." So a big congrats to Jeff England!
3rd Place was well deserved, but by default goes to Dillon Carr.

It was a windy day, but there were a LOT of good scores! We had 46 people come out to play and 7 were guests.

So there has been some discussion about when Divisionals will be, and I'm here to tell you we have one more week of League play.
We will have Divisionals on Week 13 - Aug 25
HiLo Dubs/ League Party on Week 14 - Sept 1

I think the confusion came to some because we added a week of Random Dubs which we haven't had before this year, but the calendar on DGS & on the Band App are there if there is any further confusion.

First things first congratulations to Evan McConnell for his ACE on hole 9! He cleaned out the Ace Pool with $182! He just paid for all his league fees plus some!

Some of you are starting to ask about handicaps and how they are calculated. Chad Cole is your best bet to get that specific answer, but I can tell you they are adjusted according to the lowest score for that week! I have a fancy spreadsheet that calculates it all for me!

- Huge thanks to those using the Band App! It makes it so nice for me to communicate with you about winnings, quick changes and helping people find a card on Thursdays. Did you know you can message people to find a card before signing up for a tee time? I'd like to do group challenges and other fun things, but we need people to be diligent in joining.

- We now have a new bench on Hole #7 and a new path to the longs coming from Hole #6. Huge thanks to Kevin who is the church maintenance guy at the church.

- Kevin is a one man show and doing great things! However, please help if you see trash on the course. It is up to us to keep the course clean, not Kevin.

The Season has officially started! It was great to see everyone again face to face! We officially have 60 Members making our 4th year the largest number of members yet!

PLAYERS PACKS
So far you have received: League stamped disc, Custom Shammy towel, and a Polo Shirt. We still plan to purchase one more item which you should receive at our first divisional. If you are one of the 4 that have not gotten your players packs yet please get in contact with us so we can set up a time to get these to you. I hope you all like your Players Packs.

HANDICAPS:
Handicaps are now in play! If you've played for 3 weeks then you have a handicap. If not it will be reflected on the DGS adjusted scores. You'll be in the race soon even if you've just started this week. There was much discussion about how to do handicaps this year right up until the last minute. They will be calculated slightly different than last year so we can't use the previous years handicaps (based off of par) for this years handicaps (based off of the lowest score played that round).

ACE POOL: Set at $60
Ace is set to accumulate weekly and resets once an ace is hit. $1 from each membership fee per week was donated to this. If more members join this number will increase. Guests are eligible to win a flat $25 for an ace.
Shout out to Devin Shreve for his ACE last week...however we don't payout during Pre-season since it's free to play! If you see Devin give him a $1 to congratulate him!

We are excited to be handing out our players packs this Thursday from 5-6PM at Hole #1. We have all 60 players packs accounted for! However, we still have a few extra items for others who want to join, but I can't promise a full pack at this point.

A few things you need to know before the season starts:

1.) If you have not joined the BAND app yet, please do so. It works best if everyone is doing it. We will be posting weekly which holes the CTP's are on within that app or if there is any major changes like we need to call off league due to severe weather or something like that. Check out the instructions in my previous post.

2.) PDGA Rules state that cards Must have at least 3 players on a card to play. We are saying that at least 2 of those people must be a member of the league, but you are still playing with 3 people. The app will help you greatly in putting those cards together.

3.) Women use the long teepads, but for instance on Hole 9 anyone is welcome to use the short teepad with a one stroke penalty.
- I'm working towards getting in some additional short teepads on other holes for the younger generation which will be age appropriate. Watch for more information.

4.) Handicaps will be in play starting this week! More information on how this is calculated will be in a later post.

5.) GUESTS now need to pay $5 by scanning the Guest QR Code on the Board by Hole 1 to be eligible for CTP's and a portion of the Ace Pool.

6.) Out of Bounds
- Anything On or Over a road is OB with the exception of Hole 10 where only the Road is OB.
- Hole 7 has a small sidewalk coming through the fairway that is NOT OB, but the larger road section next to the Church is OB.
- Hole 9 all water is OB - You may take one stroke penalty and throw from the short teepads if you wish.
- Hole 18 on or over the road is considered OB.

7.) Everyone should be teeing off from Hole 1. That's why we have tee times to stagger the start time.

We are excited to be officially starting our 4th year for league next week! We have literally doubled each year since we've started, but not sure that's going to happen this year. We've ordered 60 payers packs and are currently at 56 Members! Meaning there are only 4 spots left for receiving the full players packs.

We are using a new app, called BAND.

- Use the SignUp sheet to get a tee time and help yourself and others find a full card.
- You can message other members and get notifications (or turn them off) specific to our league.

NEXT WEEK THURSDAY - Week 1
- We will have the players packs available for pick up between 5-6PM.
- Guest will now need to scan the Board at hole 1 to pay their $5 or their scores won't count towards anything.
- Use the Band App to find your card and tee times.
- Use the UDisc App for scores (Pease use your real names so I don't need to guess)
