Tonight is the last Friday night league and we will be playing Lyons den original layout. Thank you all for a great season, so far we've had 126 unique players come through the league, really remarkable for a first season go at it. I have some big plans coming for this fall, so stay tuned for those - you're gonna want to keep your Saturdays open ;)

I was overwhelmed by the amount of support and number of players we had two weeks ago. I have listened to your recommendations and am making a few changes to the layout accordingly. Hole 2's tee pad will be shortened, making the hole closer to 380ft instead of 430ft. Hole 5's tee will be moved down into the valley and backed up against the road, turning the hole into a ~630ft par 4 playing down the valley on the drive, and up the hill throwing towards OB on the approach. There were some issues with people slipping on the tee of hole 16 having it on the road, this tee will become a hybrid, where you are able to tee off the road or the grass adjacent. The rest of the course will remain essentially the same, and I will be out tomorrow night re-mowing and re-painting the tees. Overall, the course par last week saw a 63pt improvement over the original tees from the week before, so I would call that a success! Hope to see you all again this Friday

5:30 tee off tonight! We are playing the temp Lyons Den longs layout I setup this Wednesday. The layout includes 7 new natural tee pads (carefully mowed on flat ground), and 1 long basket placement. Looking forward to see you all there! Should be a lot of fun and I anticipate a 52 (-7) to be over 1000 rated, even in calm conditions!

We are back at toboggan this week playing the shorts layout. There is still no OB anywhere on the course except park roads. Dustin Turner will be signing people up starting at 430, feel free to start whenever you have a group of 3 or 4. $10 all in, all to divisional payouts, and the ace pool is still able to be hit if anyone laces that perfect shot tonight. Unfortunately because my wife and I are out of town for Am Worlds, and every PDGA official I reached out to that would be able to run it for us, isn't even able to make it to play tonight. So without someone to orchestrate, and many of the regulars confirmed they were not able attend, league is canceled tonight. We will be back next week Friday July 1st for more fun on Toboggan Longs!

Today we will be at the Toboggan course! MPO and MA1 will be playing long pads. FPO, MA3, and rating only divisions will be playing shorts. I will be there around 4:30pm to flex start those who want to start early. Hard cut off at 5:30pm so we can finish before dark.
Rating only plays for $1, all other divisions play for $10. The full $10 goes into payouts tonight (i.e. no CTP/ace pool/PDGA fees tonight).

Try to stay in a group of 3 tonight to keep things moving. The course was mowed this week so that should help. CTPs are on holes 6 and 9, ace pool starts at $314!

This week we will be out at Kensington South longs. I'll be there around 4:45 to flex start players who want to start early, last call at 5:25 to get the last card teed off by 5:30. CTPs on holes 4 and 10, and the ace pool starts at $280. This is the last week of the 10 week series before the TD report is submitted, so all 10 rounds will be reflected in the June ratings update.

This Friday, Huron Valley Friday Sanctioned Singles is hosting the LPO Warmup Sanctioned Flex Start! 11:00am - 5:30pm. Check in with a group of 3 and you'll be able to get started.
We will be playing the LPO Combo course, long tee pads for MPO, FPO and MA1, short tee pads for everyone else. $25 all-in ($20 divisional entry, $2 ace pool [over $200 already in the pool], $3 CTP played on holes M2, M15 and M17).
This is a great opportunity for MPO, FPO and MA1 to get practice in on the combo course after finishing their tee time rounds on Monster, as well as an opportunity for other amateur divisions to throw a practice round since they will already be on site to pick up players packs.
I will be offering more divisions than I had been in the league thus far: MPO, FPO, MA1, FA1, MA2, MA3, FA3, MA4

We had two $20 CTPs won by myself on hole 2, and Josh Barber on hole 6. Tomorrow we will be at Lyon's Den (James F. Atchison Park) for a fun round in a windy ripper's paradise!
I will try to get the gate unlocked so we can meet at the picnic tables by hole 9's basket, but if not, we will meet at the pavilion by hole 8 and the playground (if gate is closed, park in the lot of the police station closest to the pavilion). Hope to see everyone there!

This week we will be playing South (Green) shorts, and we shouldn't run into any rain.
I'll be there at 4:30 again to flex start groups so we don't run into issues with daylight, and last card tees off at 5:30 sharp.
