35 golfers attended the last day of Big Portage winter league, what a great day of golf it was! Lots of money flowing back to the players on a gorgeous spring afternoon.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to join us during the winter, you all made it worth the while organizing each week.

Also, HUGE thanks to anyone who helped with shoveling and salting pads on the (many) snowy days, your assistance was invaluable and greatly appreciated.

I'm not going to break down scores since they're on the leaderboard, but here's a list of the many CTPs on the day:

I've also had a tremendous amount of help from a handful of you with shoveling/sweeping/salting pads, I'm not going to name names but I appreciate every one of you, THANK YOU!

Taking home the W with a hot -10 this week Joel/Coach Rob, runners up at -8 were Elijah/Casey C. 4-way tie at -7 resulted in a throw off for 3rd and 4th place cash taken by Randy/Jeff L and Curtis/Colin, respectively.

Freeland and Curtis shot the hot score of -9 with a 3 stroke cushion over the tie for 2nd and 3rd at -6. Speaking of that tie... Since none of you stuck around for the throw off (Joel, JGrow and Dave) you have $20 to either split or determine a tie breaker for. I'll leave it up to you 3 to decide how it's done, you can come get the cash from me next week.

What a turn out! 24 of you crazy golfers showed up to play in the deep powdery snow covered forest at Big Portage Lake.

Rising to the top were Elijah/Glover shooting -9, followed closely at -8 by Erika/Joel. A 4-way tie at -7 led to a throw off from hole 1's tee to the practice basket, Curtis/Andy snagged third place and Colin/Freeland took the last cash.

There was a tie atop the leaderboard at -7 between Casey Cook/Glover and Andy/Bryce. After a throw off from hole 1's tee to the practice basket Casey and Jared claimed 1st place leaving Andy and I with last cash.

Big thank you to everyone who made it out to Big Portage Lake yesterday to join us for the first week of winter random draw doubles, 24 of us in total. This league will be every Sunday at 1pm, concluding on March 20, at which time we'll move to our Spring/Summer league.

Shooting the hot round of -8 was Casey Bunker & myself, followed by a FIVE way tie at -7 decided by throw off resulting in a 2nd place finish for Randy & Glover, 3rd place for Harold & Joel, and at last cash was Johhny & Casey Cook.

Grand River Union is starting a random doubles league on Sundays at 1pm at Big Portage Lake from January 16th - March 20th. There are no end of season payouts, that money will go towards bigger CTPs. Any player who gets an ace will automatically get 80%. Multiple aces will split 80%. Any questions can be asked on the league Comments section or you can just message Bryce.
