Positive News:
There is a proposed disc golf course coming to Buell Lake Park on Genesee road. Thetford township and Genesee County Parks have partnered together to put in 18 holes on the south side of the park. Hopefully this will be done in the next year or two!!!

Any chance there was a set of keys found Tues 11/8?

I hope everyone notice the change on hole 12. With that being said I hope some one else steps up and helps out this course by helping to keep it clean from cans and bottles and other things we have when playing. If someone is in the area and does an event to raise some money for new baskets I'm in.

Thanks for the notice. Will you have some type of signage that will warn the knuckleheads that are not on this site?

Lost a blue exo hard tactic in the stream in front of 17s bracket, about 15-20 left of pin. Water was muddy brown and I couldn’t see anything. Disc is ink’d with my info. Reward if found and returned. I also found another as I was walking the water. Name mold and color and I’ll get it back, no ink.

Frankenmuth Disc Golfers,
During this COVID-19 health crisis, many people are concerned about potential ways in which the disease could be spread. One concern that we are receiving is about disc golf, and people using the course, is that they are not following health recommendations and physical distancing expectations.

While disc golf can be a good, safe recreational activity during this time, we want to remind you of some health precautions to follow:

Just got to keep educating people & not just taking down courses.

Steven Osmond   April 8, 2020 at 11:14pm

I am 61 years old and my doctor gave me the okay to play. That being said I will not play if I see multiple groups on the course. We the disc golfers, not the City of Frankenmuth are responsible for each other besides other park goers. Look at the Disc Golfer's Code of conduct and do not put down city officials.

Steven Osmond   December 8, 2019 at 10:04pm

This update is from December 5th, 2019. There will be no changes until some time in the spring of 2020. Look for Holes 9 and 10 to be either deleted and or changed. I have talked to the Director of Parks and Recreation.

Nick Dudek    October 20, 2019 at 7:01pm

As many of you have heard our courses In danger. We need to let the city council know how many people enjoy the course. Wednesday the 23rd there is a meeting at 5pm about the future of the course. I urge everyone to spread the word and attend. You can email the parks and rec at [email redacted] or call at 989-652-9901.

Continued : golfers that may ruin it for the rest of us. Sorry for the rant, just want to keep others informed. Thanks again to those who attended the 5pm meeting. I think you made a significant difference to our cause yet we can repay them with being responsible ourselves while enjoying a truly great course in an exceptional community and destination.

Ron, although I could not make the meetings, I turned suggestions in to help out. It will be interesting to see if any of those make reality.
