We have taken a bit of a break for the last couple months, but it’s time to get back at it. The 2014 Pro Worlds is coming fast! We have met with the worlds committee and have a good idea of where we need to be to have the course ready. There is plenty to do from picking up debris, trimming, spreading, and spraying and we greatly appreciate all help we can get! Bring gloves if you have them, we have plenty of spares. Shovels or rakes are helpful. Weed eaters, especially ones with metal blades are super helpful. Please RSVP here or text 503-329-1242.

The Stumptown Slosh Series Finale tournament is a single day, two round, PDGA sanctioned C- tier event at McCormick Disc Golf Course in St. Helens, OR. As many of you know, Stumptown used last year’s Slosh event as a fund raising effort toward baskets at McCormick. Keeping with the same theme, the Stumptown Slosh series is a fund raising effort for the 2014 PDGA Pro Worlds Volunteer Fund. Entry fee is $35 with $5 from every entry going directly to the volunteer fund. This fund will ONLY be used to help make sure all of our Worlds volunteers are properly taken care of! An abundant thank you to Jeff Hagerty for coordinating the Slosh Series.

Sign-In: 7:30-8:15am
AM Players Meeting: 8:30am
AM Tee-Off: 8:45-9:00am
Lunch: 12:30pm-1:30pm
PM Players Meeting: 1:30pm
PM Tee-Off: 1:45-2:00pm

A reminder for those of you playing, this is a PDGA sanctioned event and you must be a current member or make arrangements to pay the $10 Non-Member Fee. As always... Stumptown Disc Golf would like to thank you for helping us promote disc golf in the greater Portland area.

Lots of rumors have been floating around, but it is now as official as it can get... The announcement has been made by Todd Andrews that the McCormick Disc Golf Course will be one of the 6 courses chosen to be played during the 2014 PDGA Pro Worlds! This is an amazing honor and a great reward to all the hard work we have done over the past 2 1/2 years! We will continue to work hard to make this course live up to the prestige of this epic event.
