Course is CLOSED TO PLAY. However the disc golf mega-store is still open. 10% all new merch in protest of the carnival!

I heard the Balloon Fest was extra awesome this year so most of the carnies weren't leaving Howell until later this afternoon. As I figure it, they won't be to Lakeshore until about 3:30 this afternoon. Good luck.

what is the word? officially closed yet? drove by this morning and only a handful of trucks on the course (near #5 longs)......
Ben Calhoun June 26, 2011 at 6:35am
The course WILL be closed sometime tomorrow don't know could be 8am, could be 8pm we just don't get any information. Throw Shop will be open during the Carnival with limited hours, call 734-657-1699.

They broke like 5-6 teepads overall last couple years no baskets. There is another broken basket right now. I don't know how it got broken though, kinda weird. Something had to hit it hard to break that weld, maybe the mowers. I'm going to try to mark the tees with flags and remove baskets near the carnival area this weekend. The apts. make sooo much money off this. As a resident, it will totally suck having a bunch of screaming kids in my backyard all week. Not to mention meth fueled carnies and their donkeys.
Joe Anttila June 23, 2011 at 10:32pm
How many baskets did they break last summer?
It seems weird that an event like that would go on inside of a gated community. As a resident, that's the last thing I'd want in my backyard.

The Carnies are arriving to set-up this Sunday afternoon/night course will be closed when that begins through at least July 4th but obviously up to a week or more after that. Side-bet as to how many tees will be wrecked by drunken circus freaks?

Put my banshee in the middle of the pond.. Inked
Wade TF June 14, 2011 at 6:00pm
Found neither, sorry Gabe. There was the normal kid, that I have to warn over and over, wandering around the pond looking for an opportunity to dip in but was deterred after I was circling him in Clifford for 15 minutes.

No Rpro Rocs. Did find some discs today. If you lost something check with the throw shop and see if they're there.
Dan Flanz June 14, 2011 at 3:11am
Lost cell phone on course, iphone 4 inside of blue speakers. Please return to myself or the throw shop. I am going to wait two days to hear from anyone. It was lost between hole 2 and 4.
Mike Jacobson June 10, 2011 at 5:05am
I had a blue rpro roc in there. Any chance you found it?
Daniel J Lee June 9, 2011 at 2:34am
you need to put signs up next to the pond. where is this rule displayed at any part of the course/shop? it's not even on the scorecard. the unknowing cannot abide by rules that are not written.
Wade TF June 9, 2011 at 2:28am
I went in today and found only six discs. Three of them had names/numbers on them, three of them did not. Claim your discs by identification of lost discs. I scoured the shit out of the pond today and did not come across any discs mentioned in this post. I do still have Mike's yellow z buzzz in the shop awaiting pick-up. If you have discs in the pond, let us know IMMEDIATELY so we can do our best to save the discs from casuals who do not abide by the rules of the course.

Update: The course and shop are both 'Open' officially. The course isn't really playable today due to the Carnies still packing up and about 10 baskets need to be put back in the ground.
Damages: #7's white tee is broken again. Lost some limbs on #9. Large tree fell (storm damage) out of the woods on X but isn't in the way of anything for now. Lots of dead grass. Trash situation isn't nearly as bad as last year. I expect them to be gone by the end of the day toda ... more

Just now saw a trailer drive right over #1's White tee. Practically started swinging on some carnies had to ball my fists and take some deep breaths before I started yelling at them!
