Let me ask something, when you go golfing, do you swim in the water hazards after hitting a ball in there! I didn't think so! They'd boot your asses off the course if your caught! Same premises, not only is it a liability issue, but Wade and Ben have always called me after recovering my discs! They don't sell stolen discs! Use your heads and quit running your mouths! Be thankful you have a free course to play that is well maintained! If you don't like the rules, take ur sorry ... more

Ive had marked and unmarked discs returned.... I dunno
Hunter S. Dotson July 18, 2011 at 4:27pm
Anyone find my "Marked with REWARD" Orange memorial Nuke in that pond. Or my "Marked" glo buzzz....
Wade TF July 18, 2011 at 6:52am
Please return discs you find in the pond after trying to get your own. I can't physically enforce anything. If I have to put in a mail slot type lost found box I will. I just want everyone to get their discs back. It sucks going in and buying a new disc and getting some tree hate directly into the pond the very next round.

First, I will say again i agree with what you are trying to do, but our views of "stolen" items are way different. It doesn't matter private park, public park or my living room someone looses something, gives up on looking for it and leaves no information on how to return it, they are S.O.L. Finding and keeping a blank disc shouldn't label someone as a criminal and incur "consequences".
Second, things look more complicated by the daily task of retrieving discs ou ...

True, but possession is nine tenths of the law and finding something left behind doesn't make it stolen either. Plainer and simpler.
Joe Paczwa July 17, 2011 at 11:04pm
Found discs that have no information or numbers on them are hard to consider stolen in the first place. Lets say throw shop rented out discs, and one of those were found and kept then yes definitely stolen. But something purchased somewhere else and brought there and lost, no. I'm sure most people return or make efforts to return found discs with info, but it will never be a complete success. Unlabeled discs in my opinion are fair game. Someone wants to throw over a hazard, or in the woods ... more

I'm not at doubles because I'm with my girlfriend's family (they just lost someone yesterday). I might be able to make it by tonight, but it isn't likely to be before 6:00. How do I contact someone if I make it there after-hours?
Wade TF July 17, 2011 at 9:08pm
Really Joes? The whole point of this is there is a problem with golfers going in the pond and stealing discs. Solution? No one is allowed in the pond.
Joe Anttila July 17, 2011 at 8:04pm
Just use some acetone and remove the name & number from the disc. Problem solved, dudes.
Joe Paczwa July 17, 2011 at 7:44pm
I just want to understand about hole 13. Say i am 10" off the shore, disc in full view, i could be banned for getting my hand wet to retrieve it? That doesn't seem right to me. This could be an ongoing problem until a reasonable and understandable solution is presented. Instead of the my way or the highway approach posted below. Also has anyone thought of a lockable drop box for discs on the outside of the shop for discs found after hours?
Geoffrey Johnson July 17, 2011 at 2:20am
that explains quite a few mysteries....

i think the water varies in color from what direction you look at it.... like that weird paint on cars that changes color

who throws a disc in the water?
Jamie Mosier July 17, 2011 at 1:05am
Just don't throw in the pond and there would be no issues
Jesse Whitlock July 18, 2011 at 6:25pm
By the way, if you don't like my words, I play Lakeshore 2-3 times aweek... feel free to drop by!
