What’s the poison oak situation on this course nowadays? Has anyone cleared it out in the past couple years?

The course is in great shape. The best I've ever seen it. That said, there are still patches of poison oak if you get off the fairway in places.

Keizer Rapids Basket Fundraiser hits $9,000 milestone!

We have done it! We have passed $9,000 in donations, promised supplies, grant money, and estimated volunteer hours! We have $1,841 to go! We've also heard back from the city regarding baskets and will be able to use some of them as part of the fundraising efforts! Don't forget we also have fundraising discs on order and we have a fundraising tournament in less than 2 weeks! https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/Keizer_Rapids ... more

Also another announcement for the Disc Golf Community. We are in the midst of fundraising for new baskets at the Keizer Rapids Disc Golf course. We have already been approved for $2,500 grant from the Parks Advisory Board but we still have more to raise. If you are interested in knowing more details please check out this donation page on Donorbox. Capital City Disc Golf club is a 501c(3) non-profit and all money raised is going directly into the project! Just a last minute reminder.......

We are still on for our work party at Keizer Rapids tomorrow morning at 8AM!

If you are coming out to help please bring some gloves!

Plus if you can bring any shovels, rakes, loppers, wheelbarrows, or handsaws. Anything that you believe could make the job easier that would be a huge addition.

Thanks and see you tomorrow.
Meet in the normal parking lot.

Mike Wilson   April 12, 2018 at 8:34pm

We will take care of big projects first and leave spreading bark chips until last. Like I say with help we should finish early.

Brad Rich   April 13, 2018 at 2:38pm

Mike Wilson    March 29, 2018 at 2:45am

Lloyd is the only person i know that has dragged or looked for discs in that pond.

Soon

Daniel Schoonover    November 6, 2017 at 4:55pm

The current setup for hole 11 says the distance is 240... that can't at all be right, right? That must be the "short" position.

Yeah that is about right, I know the long is 396.

Dallas Trower   November 6, 2017 at 6:48pm

The pin it is in now is 320 ft. Aka original short pin now turned medium pin.

Daniel Schoonover   November 6, 2017 at 11:17pm

Thanks. I fixed that on the Krushing Keizer layout to 323 (that is what I see as the measurement on some other sites). I also fixed 12 as I think that is 213 over the pond, the longer distance is the no water distance.

Lloyd Bledsoe    October 13, 2017 at 2:10am

Lost a yellow colored Boatman on the right side of Hole 8, about halfway kicked towards the fence line.

Mike Wilson   August 20, 2017 at 10:31pm

No it did not. It was south of where H12/13 are at.

Dallas Trower   August 14, 2017 at 9:26pm

Played Sunday. Was in really good shape for keizer in the summer

Zach "ZERO" Hartman   August 14, 2017 at 9:28pm

Yeah it wasn't bad

Mike Wilson    July 27, 2017 at 3:26am

Don & I got some stuff done at KR tonight. Don mowed some more and focused on fairways and the walkout from 12's tee pad to 12's basket. I was able to weed eat a fairway on H2 and cleared out the tee pad a little too. Also got the hill on 14 cleared which allowed us to move 14 into its really long position. 13 has been moved into its longer left position and 16 was moved into its shorter right position.

Mike Wilson is the man is there a tournament coming up at kR?

Mike Wilson   August 2, 2017 at 12:51am

No not that I'm part of. But that doesn't mean there isn't one. Pac-West just cares for KR thru a partnership with the City.
