Is this course even playable these days? The reviews all look rough, and are from a few years ago

I don't think it's been mowed for 3 years or so. Unfortunate.

We're from out of town and didn't know was that the course was built around the old hatchery (snap chat location calls it a hatchery museum). The course is completely untamed. Grass was above my knees (32"+), tee signs were broken or completely inaccurate, and there were NO signs warning of the potential physical hazards.

I tripped in a grass-covered hole (which caused a pretty bad foot injury), my husband had to mess around to find his disc in a 'tank' that was fill ... more

2.5 of the Baskets are unplayable due to high grass. Course is not being cared for. Okay if you play 1,2,5,6,7,8,9. I don't like playing next to a flowing river anyway. Very easy to lose a disc or get real wet.

I spoke with the folks at hanson hills about the grass not getting cut and the township currently has no mower. The folks at hanson used to cut it but have so much to do they no longer can. Hopefully the issue will be solved soon.

Also, the directions currently linked to this page do not get you to this course. On the U-Disc App look up Grayling Nature Course, that is the course pictured.

Follow signs for the fish hatchery park. This course is played along a nature trail. Bring a few friends if you want to play this course, lots of tall grass, I recommend spotting each other. On the plus side it is a very nice course with beautiful scenery and a river. Makes a nice walk with baskets along the way.

Thats probably true. The park probably isn't even open with bridge construction going on.

Go to Hanson Hills or the new one in Lewiston, Buttles park, its quite nice even though the finishing touches have not been done yet. Huge, textured cement teepads, new chainstar baskets, VERY nice.
