Moderately challenging, technical and maintained wooded park course. Narrow fairways on most holes with some nice tunnel shots through endless palm trees. A fun and relatively short, flat course with minimal water hazards. Nice cement pads,and decent baskets. Navigation is difficult with the lack of signage. Very long walk to get from hole 18 back to back to the parking lot.

Great course. Bring your A game. Trees aplenty. The first 7 or so holes are brutally wooded but if you manage to keep your bogeys pretty scattered over those holes you have a good chance of finishing ... show more ›

Great course. Bring your A game. Trees aplenty. The first 7 or so holes are brutally wooded but if you manage to keep your bogeys pretty scattered over those holes you have a good chance of finishing at or below par. Nice overall mix of shots. Good layout. Notice!! Beginner players will get mad at this place.

This is a quality course that will test your control and accuracy. I really enjoy courses that stand alone vs being in the middle of a park. This course has fields around it but really is pretty secluded. Lots of trees and sand when its dry. Holes 1 and 2 are brutal. I do enjoy the mental challenge this course offers and it certainly made me work. Would like more benches.

Pretty sweet spot. Clean, trash cans every few holes or so. Plenty of pads, sometimes multiple pads and multiple pins on each hole. 10 is very ace-able especially if you can throw and inside out backhand over the canal. Friendly locals let us play through. Benches, a variety of holes with some water hazards. Only thing you have to watch for is the gator on 16 and Palm leaves, a disc could slide up under a bunch and you might be looking for a while.

What a great improvement over the old course. This new course is tough. The new holes are fantastic and the old holes are still the same old holes. Stonehenge is still there with two baskets now. Hole #10 with the big hyzer over the canal is also there and has a second basket too. Hole #16 has two tees, one for the pros that makes you throw over a pond and a shorter dry hole for the amateurs. Hole #15 is in between a canal and a pond. It requires an accurate throw. Several holes have separate tees for separate baskets. Hole #5 is old hole #7. You still have to make a straight throw down a very narrow fairway with a tree right in the middle of the thing. Hole #8 is the same as the old hole. Hole #8 still has all the palmettos down the right side. I am glad that didn't change. Hole #9 is an old hole and there are two tee pads and two baskets on this hole. I like the change. Update: the grounds crew has listened to the players and has made #2 a bit easier. You can still play the sharp hyzer or you can throw through the woods.
They need a big sign that has an arrow and the words "First Tee This Way." The first tee is hard to find. The first hole is impossible to throw the intended route, but there is an opening to the right that allows you to throw a hyzer and get much closer to the basket. Problem with that is there is a tree line you have to get through to get close to the basket. Hole #2 has a very sharp hyzer turn to the basket. The hole is long and the canopy is low. It is very hard to get a disc far down the fairway. I throw to the bend and then go for the basket on the second throw. I have a new "con". When throwing the hyzer to the right, on hole #1, if you land on the grass you are OB. Your disc must land back in the wooded area. NOT GOOD!!
They need to bring the SW Florida Open at the end of January up to North Port instead of North Fort Myers. I play two rounds here everyday at 10am or so. The drinking fountain in back of the restrooms by the diamonds does have cold water. The drinking fountain by the soccer fields (right behind hole #15) doesn't have cold water. There are plenty of players here, the course is getting lots of play. My other thought is to suggest removing the trees on hole #1 and make it a straight shot with a left fade at the end instead of the impossible anhyzer that is there now. Use the removed trees to eliminate the hyzer shot over the ball diamond to the right.
