The Foggy Basket offers incredible views, lots of open shots and and a sprinkling of wooded shots, uphills and downhills, short throws and bombers, and a variety that most other courses in the region simply cannot claim including an 800+ foot par 5. The local players are super friendly and are proud of the course. The recent redesign is a major improvement on the course through its middle and end sections, especially the changes to 16-17-18. 18 is maybe a bit easy and underwhelming as a finish, but I still prefer how the course finishes now.
While the course has a lot going for it, it has a few flaws. It has baf tees and poor signage. The baskets are a mix between some new baskets and some old baskets with thin and unbalanced chains. There are some messes to clean up. The caretakers and local club are working on these problems, including new pads coming this year. The course is otherwise clean and easy to navigate. Once some of these gripes are resolved, this course is surely A material in my books.
Note it is shared with a golf course that is rarely used. There is a $5 fee to play all day which is used to fund improvements to the course.
