This course has everything! Great design and terrain in a beautiful and well maintained park with a river running through it. There was clearly a lot of thought and consideration that went into all the tee placements, pin positions, and OBs. Immediately in my top 5 courses in Michigan.

Keep in mind you have to throw far to score well.

One of the best courses in the state. Jeff put together a gem. The front 9 has a great mix of big controlled distance shots, elevation, hazards, and lots of scoring opportunities. Hole 6 is one of the coolest shots on the course and gives major toboggan feels. The back 9 offers the rare chance to really air out some distance drives. Hole 10 may be the best hole on the course and requires 3 excellent shots to get the birdie. The back mixes in some shorter controlled shots in which can be challenging given the fact you get used to smashing on drivers and not worrying so much about accuracy. There is also a good amount of OB in the back. This will be an excellent course for players to get the feel for what pro tour courses are like. All this place needs to be an A+ is some cement tee pads!

Don't mind the salty C review from the person that went through and downvoted every A review. Some people just don't get it.

Based on the glowing reviews I’ve seen, I was expecting a much better course.

There were a lot of long, flat open holes with tall, disc-eating grass. I’d say, “Send out a spotter,” but who does that? The long holes were just throw-it-as-far-as-you-can long, and long for long’s sake, but not the kind of long where you play this throw to set up that throw.

There were several out-of-place short holes for a course that aspires to be a championship level course.

The course did not require very many shot shapes. It was entirely RHBH. I was not at any disadvantage by not having a forehand. There were only two right turning holes that I can remember and both were RHBH anhyzers.

The course did not provide many opportunities for decision-making. The only risk-reward hole was the hole with the platform tee. The risk was falling off the platform and breaking your neck. The reward was not falling off and breaking your neck.

The biggest “nope” for me was the waist high, disc eating grass. We didn’t lose any discs because we spotted for each other, but we found discs. This was a one-hour drive I will not make twice.

Really like the front nine. Great variety. No luck holes. On the back, hole 10 is a great hole other than the overly penal basket placement. Holes 11-14 and 17 all good holes. The ending of this course left me disappointed. 15, 16, and 18 are all wide open bomber holes. After the excellent variety of length and technicality on the rest of the course, these three holes are blah.

Saying this, this course would still be a A with better teepads.

Bug spray and long pants are mandatory! Very thick rough in fields and woods.

I can't wait for the 2nd 9 to go in! Designers and volunteers have done a great job. This course will only get better as time moves on.

A no fee scenic county park course. The layout is challenging but fair and has the potential to be championship level. It has the attributes that attracts disc golfers. Short and long tees, short holes with elevation, some technical tunnel shots and other long, open field holes to wooded basket placements (Innova DISCatcher Pro 28 baskets). Ace runs on holes 2 and 5 and a couple more on the back nine. The layout includes a cool shot off an elevated platform and a river hole with anhyzer or hyzer lines. The rough is pretty dense with some thorns in areas with long grass on a couple of the longer holes (bring bug spray). The fairway grass is regularly mowed. Nice tee signs. In the absence of next tee signs be sure to use UDisc maps for easier navigation. Plenty of picnic tables and trash cans. A lodge in the front parking lot with nice, clean restrooms and a vending machine. I met numerous trail walkers on the course. Many were curious and asked questions about the course and disc golf In general. It was a great opportunity to be an ambassador for the sport....even met Will’s mom (the course is named for him in remembrance). She is super excited! Overall, the course is a beast, designers and volunteers have done a fantastic job!
