This course was fairly fun, very scenic, and overall enjoyable. It sadly has lost many trees due to the pine beetle and has been redesigned since then. Things will be more interesting and challenging once the trees return to form. Many short open shots make scoring easy even for first timers. Lots of fun elevated shots and ace runs. A few more technical lines on the back half, but not many. This course is about average as far as a mountain course goes and I was a little disappointed but definitely worth bagging if you are nearby. Some baskets are black and hard to see at first but wasn't a big deal since the holes were short and/or open enough to see them. It appeared that a lot of work went into some of the tees in order to make them fairly level. Bring some water and sunscreen as well as bug spray. Also, watch out for bees and wasps as they were everywhere the day we played.
