11,000 + ft above see level. The highest course in the world. 50 % descent holes and 50 % awesome holes including some true Gems. Number 3 has the makings of a great disc golf all the way. A touchy fall line left to right and downhill with the basket placed in a perfect place to make each tree in the fairway a concern on the tee pad. Number 11 (which is the original Kiss it Goodbye) is another beauty. A back hand shot that flips even a little may very well travel thousands of feet never to be seen again. A cliff straight up 15 feet left of the pin and straight down 10 ft right of the pin make this hole a very elusive birdey. Hole 11a which is the tournament version of Kiss it Goodbye has to be thrown to be believed - but it is only available to play a couple of days every 2 years for the Kiss The Sky tournament. This hole makes atrip to this event worth it all by itself. Hole 15 is the wall - youll know what I mean when you see it. So steep straight up that 500' drives will only travel 250-275'. Humbling indeed.
Aspen mountain is privatley owned so you can actually drive up the mountain to the top and camp for free and have the course to yourself before and after the Gondola closes.
The only knock on this course is a pretty serious one. All tee pads are terrible. A few caring employees could take a day and make this problem go away but they havent been worked on in the 7 years Ive been playing here.
Even with that in mind - go blast Aspen - youll be psyched with the experience!
