A fun, well-maintained private course with excellent elevation, scenic views, and a peaceful setting that feels far removed from nearby Winston-Salem.

Strong opening stretch (#1–12) with great flow and variety. Holes #1–5 play steep, hilly terrain, #6 is a gorgeous open bomber, and #7 is the signature valley shot with Adirondack chairs and standout vibes.

Plenty of ace runs mixed in (#3, #9, #13, #14), creating good risk/reward without feeling gimmicky.

Outstanding presentation and care, including painted tee signs and overall maintenance that rivals well-supported public courses.

The course loses momentum late, as holes #13–17 feel cramped and overly simple compared to the excellent spacing and design earlier in the round.

While it could benefit from one additional longer, more demanding hole, this still lands comfortably in the 3.5-range and ranks in the top tier of courses worth seeking out.

I got the chance to come up and play this weekend and man what a pleasure. The property itself is stunning and the amount of work he has put into this place is amazing. He has a fantastic warm up area everyone who pays to play gets a chance at the tic tac toe, if you haven’t seen it it’s very cool. He has a little shed converted to a cabin he rents out for the weekend, I could def spend a weekend out there! I love good tight wooded NC disc golf and about 2/3 of the course is exactly that. It’s a challenging course there are some tight gaps, lots of elevation, low ceilings all the things I love to challenge my game. The other 1/3 is beautiful rolling hills several signature holes! He has some waters available right after you make the turn which was a god send this weekend. I got the chance to meet Robert and he was the nicest guy. We chatted 15 min before the round and 15-20 after like old buddies. The whole day was fantastic I don’t know what else you could ask of a Private NC course. I’ll be back 100% if your anywhere close make the trip.

The Black Widow, as others have written, is not for the faint of heart. The course constantly changes yet one thing remains - the disc golf challenge!! The course is on the edges of a Christmas tree farm with a really good mix of open holes and some really challenging and tight wooded holes - pack a lunch and do not let the Black Widow eat yours :-)

Great private course run by a conscientious owner. You will use every shot in your bag here, with some short tight wooded holes, some open bombs, narrow tunnels, you name it. A bit of elevation, too. Excellent scramble game practice, but the course is very scorable at the same time-IF you're hitting your lines. Good challenge for intermediate/advanced players, and a fun time for everyone else as it's on a pretty Christmas tree farm. Check it out.

One hell of a course. As the name indicates, this course is a beast. Brutal, humbling, wooded fairways. Beautifully green open holes. But, no better place to learn to work your discs. Play around the holiday season and buy your Christmas tree on the way out. Give it a play and see why I keep coming back.

Pros:
Innova Disc Catcher baskets on all 18 holes. 9 hole Tiki Course. Tic Tac Toe basket setup. Bomber holes + tight wooded holes. Hit your lines and avoid the trees. A true course in NC where you can actually birdie every hole on the course. Turf teepads on most holes with the remaining getting turfed in near future. Private course on a Christmas tree farm!!
Cons:
Keep it on the fairway in the wooded holes and you will be rewarded.
Other Thoughts:
Owner is great with setting up tee times and will offer to play a round with you. Glow rounds are scheduled throughout the year for the tiki course. Pay attention to the courses FB page. The owner mows the fairways to keep it looking perfect. Easy tee signage for out of town players who have never played the course.
