Veterans park is mostly in the woods. This is one of the more challenging course we have Lexington. In this course accuracy is what you will need to win. It also have a few water holes. This course gets trim and the baskets are move often for tournaments. The rough at this course is thick so watch your disc careful when you throw. It can also get really muddy after it rains. Vetearns park is a good course to play.

I've only played a few courses in Lexington, but of the ones that I have played, this is my favorite. Plenty of obstacles and water traps. Luckily, the water traps are rather shallow, so discs are recoverable. The terrain is rather hilly and makes for a bit of a workout. There are a few short holes, roughly 200 ft., but most of the holes are an average distance, between 250 and 350. There are enough tricky holes that even a pro could have a rough day. If the wind is up, the seemingly easy open holes become not so easy. My one complaint is the layout and marking. It is a difficult course to navigate if you have not been to it. Be sure to thoroughly research the map at the beginning of the course before starting.

14 of 18 holes are either in the woods or have a lot of trees in play, so that immediately amps up the difficulty. There are a variety of tee placements, making for some significantly different shots if you play there all the time. My few times playing through it haven't given me the "impossible" vibe that a lot of locals say about this course. The difficulty isn't in requiring a precise shot right out of your hand (although that is the case on a couple holes), but in requiring a full repertoire of shots throughout the course - you can survive with just a hyzer backhand, but you need a great approach and some lucky putts.
On a layout note, the signs through the middle of the course are kinda weak, so either take a picture on your phone of the layout before starting the first hole or at least glance at it to give you an idea of the general shape of the course.
