Great course. Love the wide open layout with subtle technical shots needed around the baskets. We had a group of 3 and played from the blue pads. We are all 800-850 pdga players and we averaged par for our group. Wish there was more shade. There is zero relief from the beautiful Florida sunshine…#sunscreen

This course is challenging for an open course. The challenges come by way of several factors: wind, water and worrisome OBs. Due to the lack of trees and nearness to the coast, there seems to be a nice breeze which will test your ability to adjust to headwinds, tailwinds and sidewinds on each shot. There is lots of water at the course making accuracy and distance control critical if you want to keep your discs dry and keep your score low. Many of the holes have water on one or more sides of the green. There are some OBs and well-designed Mandos that add intrigue. Many of the baskets sit atop a hill which makes rollaways possible and add risk/reward to your upshot and putts. While there are few trees to hit, the technical challenge comes from reading the wind, disc selection, angle of release and distance control. The course is beautiful, has 2 practice baskets with loaner discs in them and has Udisc mapped for ease of finding the next tee. It can be a bit confusing for newcomers as to which basket you are throwing, but there is a pattern based on which layout you are playing and the color of the basket and tee pad.

This is by far the best & most challenging course in >75mi. radius. Nice Turf Pads, New Signage & a fun/challenging layout. Red Tees are great & fun for Beginners & those Rated <900, White Tees will challenge players rated ~850-950+/- & Blue Tees are designed to challenge players rated >900... It's a great course for Tournaments so watch for their ~Quarterly Events... BCDG Club works closely w/Bay Co. Parks & Rec. to be sure Majette continues to improve & the Annual 'Majette Monster Mash' in Oct. promises to become one of the premier events in the S.E. US... If you're w/in ~150mi. of this course it's well worth the trip... Check out Bay County Disc Golf & Majette facebook page for updates on condition & events... (Re- Course Maintenance/Grass- the Course is maintained by Bay Co Parks & Rec & if the course get heavy rains they can't get their equipment out there as frequently, so in the wetter summer months sometimes the grass gets pretty thick)

Let down. Shot under par from pro tees and I'm an 800 rated player. Everyone's reviews made this course seem nice but I was very disappointed.

I would say its a great place to come and work in your discs and work on your distance but not technical at all. Best hole to me was the trio, #14-16. Easy par 3's but best layout for each hole compared to the rest.

Still beats working any day though.
