Be advised. This is a private course. I had the owner's permission to play here. And while the owner is a gracious guy, it's still private property. Currently, I believe those interested in playing the course need to get permission directly from the owner. If you do play here, please be respectful to the property and the owners. Be advised, the owner is a police officer.
Pros: Beautiful woods with old trees and rolling elevation. Owner claims there is zero poison ivy. 18+ holes. Good mix of short, long, right, left, uphill and downhill fairways. Small bridges over wet areas. A few forgiving water hazard areas, albeit small. Large rocks and some landscaping. Fun statues and benches, etc. Good flow from hole to hole - easy to navigate. It seems the owner mows regularly, and fairly, too. Very beautiful landscapes. Location is close enough to gas stations and restaurants to replenish between rounds if desired.
Cons: Dirt tees. No short tees. No 9 hole loop. There are some swampy areas. There a some thorny areas. Some rough is nigh impenetrable. Some tees are just too easy and so short, a longer tee would have to be made to incorporate a short tee design. There is a decent amount of tall grass that can make finding discs difficult. Lack of parking. No map available. No scorecards available. Some fairways have buildings and other personal items in play, which while fun, can also be a little disconcerting for those who respect the owner's property. The water hazards that are in play are seasonal and often mostly mud. Some of the baskets are still just temporary baskets, which I believe the owner is replacing as his money allows.
Overall, there is a lot of potential here and it seems the owner is continuing to make improvements. I have little doubt I'll have to revisit this review in the future to upgrade my letter rating. If you can get permission, it's a fun course to play and a huge boon to the local disc golf community.
