Pros: Beautiful setting. The course plays up and down a ski area for the Grand Geneva Resort and Spa. It's a big hill with spectacular views of a beautiful part of Wisconsin. The view in the fall will be stunning.
Wide open elevation shots. Honestly, this is the reason to play this course. Most courses I've played with elevation are in the woods, here you are throwing wide open into the wind. It's incredibly satisfying to throwing a putter into the wind at a basket 50' below you.
Cons: The distances on the tee signs are in yards, and completely made up far too often
So much of the potential of this property is dashed with an uninspired design. This could have complimented a growing number of excellent disc golf courses in the area. Unfortunately the course is mainly ho-hum. Most of the holes are wide open and dull.
The tee boxes as not all level. Some of them are poorly placed.
Other Thoughts: This course is obviously designed to appeal to families at the resort. The holes are mostly straight ahead with little challenge.
It's obvious that the course is frequented by folks who are just looking for something fun to do. I've played a lot of courses designed for this, and if that's the criteria, this course is one of the best in that regard.
This course is pay to play, $5 dollars. Not really a good value.
