$6 cash-only parking on the weekend is a bummer and there are generally a ton of park goers lounging on the holes that have to be navigated around. Layout is a bit confusing for first time course goers. The tee boxes are plywood and the layout is somewhat interesting. Most holes have guarded greens, dog legs, or narrow windows to tee off from which help makes things interesting. The high elevation and bowl shape of the course invites cross winds, especially on hole #6 and #2 so make sure you've got 170g or above for those. Most par 3's are reachable with #7 being by far the easiest hole on the course. But #3 is the most bizarre with a crazy bunker of thick trees directly over the hole. I can't imagine it could be birdied unless you perfectly anhyzer through the left opening and skip up to the basket.
A great course for beginners and veterans alike that rewards distance more than accuracy.
UPDATE: If you come on weekday mornings they run the sprinklers so you'll either be drenched in water or standing in mud.
