Once concrete tee pads are available for all tees it will be near perfect. I love the variety of wooded vs open holes & long vs short holes. The rock hole (# 10) is a great signature hole.
Only downside for me is accessibility and occasional flooding.
Update 8/2020: all short tees have cement tee pads!

Gave this course a bump from B+ to A- for the beginner friendly layout. Plenty of challenge for those with some skill, but forgiving areas for beginners. Technically still under construction,but the layout from Sias is great. Park doesn't see an abundance of foot traffic on weekdays either. A lot of mud sometimes so make sure to wear shoes that you don't mind getting a little dirty. Unless theres been a ridiculous amount of rain and cooler weather, then conditions should be agreeable enough to play in early season. The back 9 offers long throwers more of a challenge. Great wooded layout.

I feel some additional grooming is needed with several holes around the baskets, but overall very fun course ... I will play this one again I'm certain

This is a really fun course. It is not very long, but that doesn't mean it's boring. Obviously the basket placements of 10 and 18 are really cool, but there aren't many baskets that aren't tucked in or use trees to make for a harder shot. As someone who grew up in WV and has moved away, this course is a reminder of what makes WV so wonderful. The elevation, the wooded holes, and friendly people at the park make it an enjoyable round. The trials aren't very worn in yet and can be pretty muddy, but it's a new course. It can be hard to navigate, but if in doubt stand at the basket and look for the arrows. It's worth visiting this course just for hole 10.

Great course design mixed with a clean park is a great starting point for this course. You can really tell that they have taken the time to find the best layout for the course and have taken great care to preserve the natural attributes of the course. One of my favorites for sure and surely to become one of the best around!

Good course, thoughtfully designed, short tees aren't terribly challenging but I could see the long tees being tough once they're installed. The addition of concrete tee pads and good signage will make this one of the top 3 courses in the state. Could easily be a gold level Course with some tweaking. Thanks to Kris Plona and anyone else involved with installing this course. Great work.

I guess you could say I'm biased this is my home course and it has the most variety of anything I've played within 100 miles. Eleanor is far from finished so take that into consideration when you play it. I know it is a work in progress but the potential is undeniable. A quick note on number 10 the rock hole if your disc lands anywhere on top of the rock it is a drop in so do not climb up on top of the rock if you do not have to be careful. If variety is what your looking for look no further eleanor has it all.

Eleanor Park is a hidden gem in the state of West Virginia. The course has a wide variety of holes and the course is divided into three distinct sections. The first seven holes are shorter par 3's and partially wooded. The next six holes are short, technical shots through heavily wooded fairways. The final few holes are more open with more distance added. You'll encounter all three of the courses par four holes on the last stretch of the course.

Short tees are all concrete and feature signage with accurate distances. Most holes have alternate pin placements. Long tees are in the works and the course will not be considered complete until a second more challenging layout is finished. While the layout is fun and challenging I would not recommend playing this course after significant rainfall. Some slopes can get muddy and slick and fairways on the back side of the park collect standing water.
