18 baskets and open for business!! A brand spanking new course !!! still being developed. There are 2 tee locations for each basket withe a blue (short) and Gold (long). Course is 90% wooded but the fairways are well clear of underbrush for the most part, with muliple lines of play at to most of the baskets, However, be prepared for long searches when you stray off of the fairway. No extreem elevation changes, but good use of the terrain and topology to offer challenges. There are some places where there is mud and swampy conditions, but it appears that these location are being worked on.
The front 9 has mapping at each tee, but its still difficult to follow at times ... basket 3 to tee 4 (make sure you aren't throwing from tee 9) & the blue tee on hole 6 specifically. The Back 9 has no mapping yet, but is pretty easy to follow without it, with the exception of basket 14 to tee 15. MAny bridges have been buil on the back 9, as an engineer I would recommend ONE AT A TIME on these.
Basket Specifics to be aware of:
- tees for basket 4 are down over channel to the right of tee for 9.
- fariway on 5 is big righty hizer with well located trees to tighten up the line.
- 6 & 11 can be round killers and disc eaters from the golds.
- 6 blue is a short tight straight shot.... or else.
- 7 & 8 are the only open fairways
- long walk with very little direction from basket on 8 to tees on 9.
- 11 .... ugggh ... there are lines here, but I couldn't hit them
- 12 thru 15 uneventful wooded fariways
- 16 thru 18 probably funnest on course... 18 was best.. long open wooded fairway with several options. The trees and canopy seemed to point at the basket.
Ultimately a good complement to the Garry Cavan Park near by. I hope to return once the course has had some play and is completed.
