Even if the tees and holes seem to change throughout the year, and though all the other implications of seasonality (like weather, bugs, grass length, wind, etc) should obviously be considered whenever one partakes in playing this course, I can truly say that the Casper main course is one of my all time favorite courses that I’ve played. And it just so happens to be in my own backyard. Check it out!

Great wide open course, easily visible baskets and baskets themselves have markers indicating next tee location, which is a great touch. On the down side though we had to call it after the front 9 due to extreme thorn irritations near hole 9. Be extra careful when teeing off from #9, as it is at the top of a hill, and the entire left side of the playing field below is all thorn bushes. I would have liked to finish, but I need Benadryl NOW.
Other than that, look for the walking bridge by the river to find the starting points. Excellent for intermediate and better.

Wow! What fun!!

The YELLOW DGC course was really wonderful!! We are totally newbs so I have nothing to compare it too, but wanted to say that we had a great time.
My 5 year old got a little bored with the discs, but he had fun catching frogs and bugs and rock collecting along the way. The scenery was peaceful and the terrain not overly challenging.

Casper Disc Golf Course has a variety of vegitation and natural looking surroundings. After parking at the North Casper Softball Park, players must navigate over the North Platte River on a nicely built pedestrian bridge. The first thing disc throwers notice after a couple turns is that there are no signs of civilization except for the well maintained bike path... and of course, the single function dics golf course. The scerene backdrop is pleasing to the eye and more than likely, you will see many indigineous wildlife species as you traverse this one of a kind course. As for the course itself, it seems that every one of the 18 concrete launch pads were strategically placed to create long thin throwing lanes that either break to the right or left as you near the baskets which are surrounded by huge trees that never let your disc get by without interupting the flight. There's an abundance of fallen branches and deadfall trees.. not to mention cacti and sagebrush. . The baskets are Innova's top of the line. This helps some of those discs stay in as you fight Casper's 10 to 50 mph winds. You can avoid the high winds most mornings between 6 and 10 a.m..But what fun is that? It's true that wind can make an amature out of the most seasoned pro. Since I've been playing for only a few months, I like when the advanced discers I play with have trouble with 10 foot putts. Even though there is an abundance of trees, foilage, ponds and hills, not to mention the North Platte River which skirts the southern edge of the course, I've only lost one disc. That disc was returned to me later by a fellow golfer.
There are at least 4 pin placements on each hole... making for an ever changing course. 16 tee pads are concrete with 2 pads being sand up on the big hill. Speaking of the big hill... Hole 7 gets you going up a 60 foot high hill... Hole 8 is short, but you must throw over a deep ravine. Then come hole 9... The signature hole of this course. What a great view as you try for your personal longest shot ever.
The baskets are always getting moved, so it's like a new course every month or so.
This course just needs a little national attention to become a hotspot for players from around the world. I would love to see a nationally held event at the course.
