Other worldly experience. Absolute must for any disc golfer. I wouldn’t stay for less than 3 days on a trip there. They have houses for rent, or hotel style rooms, huts, or tons a awesome campground sites.
The owner is awesome. Google Moab base camp, and call him to book and get details about the trip in before you go. It’s hours from civilization on a road that can be dangerous if you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into. But it’s worth every bit of what it takes to get there.

Oh and ask about the wind caves, those are incredible!

Spectacular course with incredible views and amazing drive to get there. The course itself is a good combination of elevation and technical shots although it is famous for its distance. Be warned that there is only one road there and you will end up off roading for an hour. We brought a suburban and made it fine but I wouldn't try anything with less clearance than that. The guy who runs the lodge is very accommodating and is fair with prices ($5 a person per round). Definitely a hike so prepared for one of the more physical courses you have played. Bring water although he does have some at the lodge.

There may not be another course in the world like Base Camp. 4wd is recommended to reach this DG oasis. You might make it in a car but you would jack it up for sure. The course is 5$ a round. Money well spent, to say the least. Bring food, there is plenty of water on site. Quality scorecards and maps are provided complete with horizontal and vertical distances and general information. This 18 hole course has red(AM) tees and blue(PRO) tees. The baskets are in good condition and have white poles on top for visibility purposes. There are two par 4s, 11 & 17. Many of the holes on this course are a dream, with spectacular scenery and settings that seem more Martian than Earthly. Hole 13B(The Chasm) throws over a 250ish ft. chasm to a slanted slick rock table scattered with boulders and gravity defying rock towers. Hole 15(Hidden Splendor) plays out and down a rock wave wall to a basket positioned to cause all types of putting madness. Hole 7(The Catcher's Mitt) is a cliff edge drive to three boulders in the shape of a catcher's mitt with the basket as the baseball. Hole 14(Hayduke's Revenge) is a short run at a near cliff edge basket, spicy! The par 4s are well designed and add a unique element to the course. 1/3 of the holes at BC are epic, mind blowing masterpieces, 2/3 are just really good. There is insane risk factor on several of the holes with 50-100ft. cliffs looming dangerously close to the pins. So much fun!!! Some of the baskets vary in height, some are sunken down in the sand and one or two are raised, a couple are leaning slightly. A few of the tees are a little sketchy. With this being said Base Camp is truly desert disc golf at its finest.

It is worth the drive hands down. Some of the tee pads were a little sketchy but I wouldn't pay to get concrete out there either, so I won't complain! This is a definite disc golf destination, and Tom has the best hospitality. He tried to let us camp for free because we watched the tortoise for an evening! Of course we still paid him anyways, he deserved it!

Cant wait to play again during Jeep Safari next year. Will always include this course when jeepin down there. The owner was really nice, invited us in and he had a bad ass tortoise. Absolutely perfect course! Signs are very well marked with alternate tee pads. A course map is clear to navigate. The course is a desert course with lots of elevation changes and a few technical blind shots. Surrounding scenery is A+++. It takes ~1 hour to get here from Moab downtown by 4x4 drive, but it is definitely worth.

This is by far my favorite course I've ever played. The owner is very nice, and has a nice map. It would be impossible to play this course without the map. Imagine playing disc golf at Arches National Park, or the Grand Canyon. I'm really glad that it's such a well designed course with lots of fun holes.

Tee pads are rubber, and not the greatest, but the scenery, challenge, and fun this course present overshadow the lack of cement tees. Please respect this private course by picking up any and all trash you see.

Overnight camping is available. It's about an hour up a dirt road, where a good 4x4 is recommended. It can be done in a 2wd car in fair weather, but you'll scrape bottom in a few places.

Watch out for flash floods. It gets EXTREMELY hot there from July-August.

This is a bucket list course in my opinion. As I said before, this course is twice as much fun as any course I've ever played.

For the course itself I thought there were a few too many long par 3s would be nice to see some of the holes shortened or lengthened. Tee boxes are inconsistent. The highlights 5,6,13,14 are really some of the best holes I've ever thrown..

This course is impossible to describe. There is something magical about being surrounded by nature in all its beauty. This course is full of shots that are not duplicated on ANY other course. Prepare to spend an entire weekend, at least, because you will not want to leave. I doubt I will ever experience a better course in my lifetime. My favorite, hands down! P.S. bring discs to chuck off of Hurrah Pass! Huuuuuuurrrraaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
