Has all the attributes of a great destination course. The landscape of the canyons is gorgeous. Several layouts with multiple tees and basket placements. Excellent shot variety with nice utilization of elevation, open fields, woods and a meandering creek. A few long walks between holes but worth it. Good signage and easy to navigate. Lots of benches to use on the long hike. The course can get very busy, even on Monday mornings. A cool pro shop is located by the end of the spacious parking lot. Well maintained. Restrooms and trash cans. 5 minute drive into town with 2 nice breweries across the street from each other.

Elevation, multiple concrete tees per hole, alternate pin locations, water hazards, shot variety, and a disc shop right on the property. 23 holes with 24-27 being reinstalled whenever they can build a safe passage across the creek. There are so many ways to change it up that you can play over and over without the course getting stale.

When the biggest complaint about a course is that it’s too popular, you know you’ve found something special.

Nice course well maintained and very challenging. Park is in a canyon with small bluffs on the last 4 holes. And you play along a creek bed most of the holes giving you an OB area to work around as you play. Nice thing about this course is even though it’s in a canyon and wooded the brush is well maintained and easy to find the discs that go off line. I agree that this should be one of the top rated in Illinois and the pro shop with refreshments and discs for sale in the middle of the course is a definite plus. Only thing this course is missing is that monster 700ft plus hole for those who have the long range game. That’s not me yet and I would differently make this hour long drive again to play this course anytime .

Dellwood is a must play! The course plays through a well maintained canyon that requires a variety of skilled shots. Each hole has concrete tee pads and most have options for A and B pins. This is also a hot spot for tournaments and leagues so high level of competition if you’re a serious player. The pro shop is also top notch!

We discovered The Canyons last year. Even since then it's undergone some great changes. Everything is exceptionally well kept, they are continually making improvements and adding holes and they now have a very handy pro-shop and snack bar. It's not as convenient as The Oaks (also a great spot) for me, but it's superior in most ways and worth the extra drive. Don't know the guy's name - but the fellow that is usually running the pro-shop also designs the course, and has given some good pointers and can make disc recommendations.

One of the best courses in Illinois. Challenges for all skill levels with the use of two tee pads and multiple pin locations. Alot of work has been done on this course and it has paid off! This course is worth a destination to plan around and you will not be disappointed. The only disappointment could be from losing a disc in the meandering creek that flows throughout the course. This is a must play course!

This course is great, they take that creek and bring it into play on multiple holes. Good amount of technicality and elevation change. A lot of fun, demanding shots for all the throws in the bag. After a slow start and a bogey followed by throwing into the river and taking and OB stoke and another bogey I pulled it together and had some good holes. It can get windy in the fields but did not come into play that much. Also was told the river was low so if you thrown in you can see it. Fun ending hole throwing right over the river.

Was in Chicago for the 2016 Riot Fest so we played a few local courses. I believe this course (Canyons at Dellwood Park in Lockport) was about an hours drive out of the city and WELL worth it. My favorite course of the four we played ... absolutely loved the elevation shot (downward) to the basket by the cliff and the couple near or under the picturesque bridges. Very cool Mach X baskets with the spider changes, first time I ever played those. Nice practice basket, immaculate course with paths and nice signage, some OB water and deep gultches. Nothing really to complain about at all, nearly perfect as far as what I look for. Recommended.

This is a must play if you are in the area. Coarse is marked well. No problem navigating through the coarse first time through. Great variety of hole designs. Long and short tee pads. Awesome backdrop of natural landscape. Several nice elevation change shots. Several signature holes throwing under overpass on 18, great touch. Throwing off the side of cliff on 16, fun hole. Great elevation change on 4, throwing through hole in trees to a wide open fairway below with creek in the right.

What a sweet course! It's got every shot you could ask for. Wide open holes in fields, real technical woods shots. Plenty of elevation and great views. For a course that's only 1 year old this place is perfect. Brand new X chain baskets were awesome and caught the disc really well. I would recommend this course to anyone if they're in the area
