The 4th DiscGolfPark established in CA and the 14th DiscGolfPark in the United States. The Beau Pre Golf Course was designed by golf pro and owner, Don Harling in 1967. Beau Pre translates from the French as Beautiful Prairie, which is a great description of the venue. This pro caliber, championship level course is a true Nor Cal gem, built into the lush wooded hillside which stretches out into the meadow below. You even get a quick peek at the Pacific Ocean at the top of the hill on #13. The natural rolling landscape provides a beautiful back drop for disc golf playing on the front 9 of the Beau Pre Golf Course. The moderately hilly terrain - an ascent on the first 12 holes before playing along the hillside and then back down the hill on "One of the longest holes in California" - the breathtaking 1,200+' par 5 signature hole #15. A variety of different throws will be needed to navigate these rolling hills and side slopes. Golf greens serve as bunker hazards for disc golf on several holes. The short (Yellow) layout provides a pro level course with a mix of challenging holes for a par of 56 measuring 6,586 ft (2,007 meters). The long (White) layout is a championship level course that will challenge the best players with an overall par 64 measuring 10,061 ft (3,066 meters). This dual basket course allows for lesser skilled and more skilled players to compete in the same group essentially playing 2 different courses at the same time. The highly visible Yellow (short) and White (long) baskets can be seen from ALL of the tees, even on some of the longer holes
