I was invited to play basketball Saturday's by a teammate in a different league. I didn't exactly get a heartfelt welcome from others my first day, and their was unjustified complaining accusing me of playing too "physical" the second out of three times there. My daughter played that day too frustrating the guys grandson who accused me of playing physical. The guy I guarded was actually ridiculously physical himself and bruised my arm. They also screamed at another guy to leave one day claiming he never passed the ball. The third week someone I hadn't seen before talked to me about the accusations in a condescending manner. My daughter and I did stay that day though and it was fine because the other guy wasn't there. The original person who invited me got frustrated with me last week after I suggested our team needed to practice and be responsible about showing up to the games before the second half. He contacted the same "friend" that spoke with me about the other incident and said I wasn't invited to return to play. When I talked to this guy on the phone he rudely cut off my words because I had valid points. I contacted the school about this. The validation was they don't intend to do anything about it because they pay them to rent the gym. Meanwhile I previously offered to contribute money to play there as well but it didn't matter. If money is the main factor on how a Christian school handles situations like this, I can only imagine how they treat their children who attend school there. Although I don't have direct experience in that category there, I recently had to pull my Kindergartner (one of 6) out of his school because they kept giving him either no lunch or hot lunch when I specifically requested several times to have him eat the lunch I sent. Quite obvious that the majority of these schools are all about money and don't care about the kids or anything else. PS I am writing this review here first because Zeeland Christian School turned off main Google reviews after I said I would write a review to share my experience. Obviously trying to hide the truth. Not a very good look.
