PROS: This course has excellent shot variety with open, wooded, long, short, uphill, and downhill holes. There is lots of OB that adds challenge for even advanced players. Hole 9 is 600' with OB on both sides of the fairway and all around the basket. This course is definitely worth a trip as it is one of my favorite courses.

CONS: The course is somewhat beginner friendly, but there's a chance of losing a disc on 14/18 holes if you shank your drive and end up in the woods/ditch/river. Also, this course holds water and gets muddy really bad so WEAR BOOTS if it has rained recently. The baskets are mach II's and cause a lot of spit outs. There's only one set of tees.

I played this course during a blustery Autumn C-Tier sanctioned tournament. I really enjoy this type of course in which most holes are in the 275'-350' range with defined multiple routes from tee to the basket, moderate elevation, and modestly wooded with fair obstructions. Walsh park provides a very nice layout with a great variety of holes. The paved walking path that snakes throughout the course defines out of bounds areas which creates a nice added challenge. While the path benefits the course layout, it also keeps the disc golfers tied to pedestrians which could disrupt flow and cause safety concerns. The park is nice and well maintained, navigation is easy and the course flows well overall. The first half of the course primarily plays in the more open areas among mature trees with a few holes that provide nice elevation changes. Hole 9 is a 600' par 4 with out of bounds along both sides of the fairway. The back nine takes you up and down a sizable hill then back up hill to a wooded section of shorter, tighter fairways. Hole 18 is a great downhill shot over/through trees. With great variety there are two sections that essentially have similar laid out holes back, to back, to back. Each of these holes are very good, but grouped together does provide a bit of redundancy but this is more nitpicking than an actual con in my opinion. Hedges Boyer in Tiffin is my go to course while back visiting family, but Walsh will definitely be worth the 30 minute drive to revisit as often as I can. All in all a great course, that is in a style I typically prefer to play!

Love this course! The new layout is awesome and will surprise players of any level with it's mix of open to wooded holes with tight fairways and use of pin placements on hill sides, in tree'd area's, mounds on mostly open fairways to still add a lvl of difficulty to second guess your approach or putt. It's a great course in a beautiful park that is maintained. Has benches, trash bins and bathrooms. If you ever get the chance to play it make sure you do. It's well worth the visit. Hole one is my favorite but I have to sat #18 & 3 are signature holes. Their beautiful elevated shots that you can't help but nearly empty your bag cause they're so fun to throw.

Newly expanded to 18 holes. all Mach 2 baskets. some elevation and good mix of open and slighlty wooded holes. spread out nicely and great for biginners and advanced players. Par 55 course with #9 being a true par 4 at 600ft. Theres is a mando on hole #11 and a pond at the bottom of #13 to the right inside a fenced in area that is OB but has a drop zone near by. #3 and #18 i believe are the signiture holes both playing down hill for some beautiful looking shots. Tee pads are concrete. course is well maintained and if your looking to play with someone go to Fremont Area Recreational Throwers on Facebook as this is the local league that always has someone willing to come out and join in.
