Still a work in progress with lots of work to be done, but I still give it a solid A! This beautiful course has the potential to be an A+ course given time and love. Perfect property for a course! After the practice basket/driving range next to donation box (please donate and show support) the course starts off with 2 signature holes in a row, over the creek and over the pond! The next 6 are mostly long holes with wide grass fairways and a few mature trees to give shape to the fields. #5, a par 4, stands out as it has an elevated tee box and basket. While course is still beating in, I suggest a spotter on holes 3 and 7, both blind left turns with dense rough.
While the front 9 caters to big arm players, those with great accuracy on wooded fairways can get birdie chances when they enter the pine tree forest on holes 9-17. Tight lines, interesting shapes to fairways and 4 holes on a steep ridgeline highlight this section. A short walk back into the field section, past the main concert stage (property hosts summer music fest), to finish with a memorable shot from the hillside over the pond.
Overall, I'd say course has no bad holes, 6 good holes (3,6,7,9,11,13), 6 great holes (4,8,10,12,14,16) and 6 awesome holes(1,2,5,15,17,18)
Remember: when a course in the Adirondacks has "ponds" in its name, bring bug spray on hot summer days.
