No concrete plan, just a promise that they will do something in the future. Current Army Corps of Engineers approval they are working under only covers the current park redesign for new parking, soccer fields, and pickleball courts. Back nine baskets were moved to Splinter based on recent comments on the MBDG Facebook group. Last time I drove through there to view the carnage, there was construction in the middle of the front nine and maybe 20 people using the playground equipment on a Saturday morning when most other parks, like Market Common, are full of sports teams and other activities.

Like keith said, the facebook page is the best way to keep up on events. Otherwise checking DGU and DGS on a regular basis is the best way to check. There are talks about some new benefit events to be done later in the year. For now regular play takes place on tuesdays, wednesdays and saturdays. We will have new club days by october though as most days adjust to the dwindling sun. Saturday morning tags is about the only given.

That was likely not a tournament but a tag day, specifically it was our voting on creating our board of directors. So I would just say, that is the semantics of what is a 'Tournament.' We had a lot of people out forming our club as an official body, not a tournament where you preregister and what not. Just trying to mobilize everyone in order to vote.

Sure looked like a tourney, 70 players at least, multiple vendors with hundreds of discs on-hand, OB painted on ground and signs up in the trees indicating which fairway lines to take, and I got there in time for the trophy presentations. Never seen a tag day like that.
