Played here with Bruce and Mark on 8/28/2013. Seen only one other player, and he was just headed to the course as we completed our round of 18. Grass is manicured very well including trimming around obstacles, trees and shrubs. Very well maintained. Erosion control mats placed under all baskets is an awesome touch, and easier on the disc than dirt, rocks and gravel.
Tee pads are 5 x 12. Signage on every hole. Signage includes color maps of every hole, depicting tee, basket and obstacles like each tree and shrub present. Not sure that signage can be any better than this! Kudos.
Course is very open with no real tunnel shots needed. But the University has done a fine job tucking the baskets into tree lines, hill sides and behind obstacles to ensure it remains challenging. Multiple shots from most tee pads are possible.
The box for maps and pencils was empty. Although no map is needed given the awesome signage present. Trash cans on every hole as well. Thick rough in some areas makes it possible to lose a disc, as well as penetration into the woods on a few holes which may render disc lost.
Sculptures of all sizes dot the course landscape and add to the experience here. An expansion of the course into the woods is all that prevents this course from earning an "A" from me.
Would gladly play here again if in the area.
