It was a beautiful course, one of my favorites. Unfortunately the course was destroyed in the fire, which burned the entire area except for some of the first hole. Apparently there are plans to reopen someday, but it will be a long haul. I drive by there once or twice a year when I go up to Lake Tahoe and keep hoping to see some indication of movement toward reopening -- none yet.
